Isn't it open source? If so why hasn't anyone ported it? After all if there's a demand, then surely that's where the open source community has the advantage over the closed source community.

At least, its what we're always hearing. Perhaps it isn't as feasible as people here claim?

I find GIMP pretty damn easy to use. Do I use it for advanced features? Of course not. But then again, most home users don't either despite having it installed illegally.

I don't know who Quant is, but Australians are actually doing pretty good at the moment so I wouldn't too surprised if we do stop flying Qantas. Their main feature was that they were safe, ever since they sent their maintenance off to China to save a few bucks, they've had nothing but trouble.

Hopefully this will teach other companies that a reputation is important.

I'm really saddened to see this habit of abandoning earlier consoles. As a kid I had backwards compatibility with my Mega Drive for my Master System. I had it with my GBA for my GB games. I had it with my PS2 for my PSX games. And I had it with my DS for my GBA and GB games.

If the companies keep abandoning their earlier consoles in future versions, they'll see a lot less tie-in (if I can't play my PS2 games in the PS3, I have less incentive to get a PS3 and can instead weigh the merits for the Xbox360 and PS3) and a lot more illegal emulation.
