I did miss it, but having read a review I don't expect I'll enjoy it.
I don't plan on buying any next-gen consoles anytime soon. I'm currently still playing my PSX and PS2 games with me having yet to finish: * Final Fantasy I, II, IV-VI, VIII (currently playing it thanks to an emulator for the PSX) and FF XII. * Breath of Fire IV-V * Wild Arms 3 * Kartia * Frontier Mission 3
so I don't predict I'll be buying for either console anytime soon. But when/if I do (I may just wait for the PS4-era) I would like to buy the one that will give me the most bang for my buck.
Yeah but trees can ONLY run on solar power and as such just aren't as effective when the sun isn't in the sky (due to rain or night-time). This thing works no matter if its getting sunlight.
That said, consider the Wii Fit is still a total sell out after moving 2 million units. To me that pretty much blows your theory that everyone is waiting around for something to buy.
It isn't everyone that's waiting for something to buy. Plenty of people have bought what they want (WiiSports, WiiBowling, WiiFit). Its the gamers who want something to buy beyond Zelda or Mario.
While this is great news for the soccer mums and the zelda fans, I'm disappointed that there isn't any news of Nintendo seeking to compete with Sony and Microsoft in an attempt to get the majority of the gamer market back.
As a (traditional) RPG fan, the Wii is just a non-competitive console for me, with it only having 4 games I'm interested in: * Breath of Fire 2 (port) * Phantasy Star II (port) * Phantasy Star III (port) * Phantasy Star IV (port)
With all those ports, it just hasn't convinced me.
Whereas the PS3 has: * Valkyria Chronicles
While the Xbox360 has: * Lost Odyssey
Multiplatform (as in, everything but the Wii) * Enchanted Arms * Final Fantasy XIII
While the PS3 and Xbox360 only have 3 titles on them that I'm interested in, those titles are new rather then ports. Xbox360 manages to equal the Wii, although with new games rather then ports.
Which is a shame because I imagine the Wii is quite fun. They've just abandoned most of the gamer market (and I realise I'm a very small part of the market but I'm also part of what has been abandoned) to Sony and Microsoft.

I'd expect it from Microsoft but not Sony.
PSX - Debuts in 1994 (6 years) PS2 - Debuts in 2000 (6 years) PS3 - Debuts in 2006 (5 years if the PS4 is released in 2011)
Xbox - Debuts in 2001 (4 years) Xbox 360 - Debuts in 2005 (6 years if the next Xbox is released in 2011).
I'd say we could expect one from Microsoft. But the only way I see Sony putting out one early is if the PS3 flops. It certainly hasn't yet.
But let me guess, you started the game thinking you'd get fun and instead discovered art. If someone went into it expecting art and got art, I imagine its quite possible they'd appreciate it and think it worthwhile playing.
I view ads (and sometimes even click them) to support the websites I view and enjoy. Its called paying for what you use (in this case paying with your attention, however brief).
Please cite the court records of your cases where you sued to prevent this.
I've never had a desire or need to video-tape the police. I don't even own equipment that would allow me to do so. I simply said, when asked, what I would do if I ever were in such a situation.
the taxpayers pay the bill. The cops don't. Even if you win, the cop who harrassed you doesn't lose his job
If it's as widespread as people in this thread indicate, the government wouldn't be able to afford the lawsuits without sending everyone to the poor house, which would result in massive lay-offs which would result in a lot more people on the dole (we actually look after those who can't find employment), which would result in even more taxes being needed, etc, etc.
Instead they'd have to force the police to stop doing the expensive behaviour or make it legal (in which case you've got a more serious problem).
If the police want they can break into my home, use a confiscated weapon (not declared) and then kill all of us. They probably won't get caught. And yet I trust them not to do this. Having cameras is the least of what I trust the police with.
And what's equally common is not doing anything about police harassment it seems. If you allow them this control over you, then you can't be surprised when they exert it.
IANAL, but this covers everything the police don't want you to do.
And how many times have the police been had to account for doing this in a court of law? If you allow your police to abuse your rights, you don't deserve the rights.
I'm actually okay with this, assuming its all automated, and the police require a warrant to gain any information from the system (and they can only get the information specified by the warrant).
this means things such as driver's license number, a Tax File Number (equivalent to U.S SSN), or the medicare number can not be used by any corporation or agency other than the one which issued it in the first place, for identification.

This sort of problem (mine just finally died) is why I now use an emulator. By no means perfect, its certainly cheap.

As long as you fail to have turn-based RPGs (like FFVII) that are actually good, Microsoft or Sony will continue to get my money.
But let me guess, you started the game thinking you'd get fun and instead discovered art. If someone went into it expecting art and got art, I imagine its quite possible they'd appreciate it and think it worthwhile playing.
So wait, if a game becomes art its bad because games aren't art?
Why can't games be art again?
I can't think of any rules for science fiction.
Some science fiction just has a new technology to define it as science fiction.
Some science fiction is just set in the future to define it as science fiction.
Some science fiction just has spaceships to define it as science fiction.
What are the rules again?
You don't get it, I view all ads. If I don't want to view the ads, I don't visit the website.
I'm talking about boycotting DRM-infested games which deny to run in I have some software which the publishers find questionable.
Sounds more like to me your downloading the DRM-infested software from piratebay and applying a crack.
Boycotting would be not visiting the website. You're advocating visiting it with adblock.
I view ads (and sometimes even click them) to support the websites I view and enjoy. Its called paying for what you use (in this case paying with your attention, however brief).
I agree. I would actually use OS/X if it didn't mean I'd have to buy new hardware (I currently have no need to upgrade my hardware).
Please cite the court records of your cases where you sued to prevent this.

So how many people were inside the shuttle? The "article" didn't seem to mention it.

There's a good chance you would get arrested.
Then you get to sue them for false arrest.
What would you have done? Serious question
I'd have asserted my rights in a non-violent, calm manner and then found a civil rights lawyer to sue the police for any abuses of their position.
I agree. Hence my example of not having an army to protect against future tyranny.
And what's equally common is not doing anything about police harassment it seems. If you allow them this control over you, then you can't be surprised when they exert it.
, I must that these Magellan computers (named after Ferdinand Magellan, a very famous portuguese maritime explorer)
Yeah we all know who he is. There's a Civilization Wonder named after him (Magellen's Expedition, increases the amount ships can move per turn).
IANAL, but this covers everything the police don't want you to do.

What about a license plate to a car?
