Its a bit frustrating the Website Content is still old (as always). The download Javascript Tool points still to Firefox 1.0PR since months:-/
btw: I don't like the current Website. Its difficult to find more specific information about other Mozilla Projects.
I have tried to upgrade my Firefox. The first time i started Firefox it tells me some extensions/themes are not compatible and disabled. My favorite Pinball Theme was not disabled and i guess it should work. -WRONG- I can't start Firefox anymore and its not easy to remove my old Theme manual:/ I advise everyone to keep a backup from your ~/.mozilla/firefox Folder....I don't know why I haven't done it:)
Jabber has a Standart to encrypt with OpenPGP. It works flawless with diffrent Jabber Clients. I think this is more secure than the current Gaim-encryption Plugin. Just try PSI http://psi.affinix.com/
And what is about usability? Sure it has less bloat but is still slower than Gnome 1.x (without Nautilus) with less functionality. Ok, i tried Gnome 2.6 only a few weeks. My question was why should i not use one of this great minimalistic Window Managers like Fluxbox, IceWM, PekWM? There are many more resons, dependencies & often unstable,....
One benefit from Slackware is it's less bloated compared to other Distribution. I use neither Gnome or KDE but if i need to made a decision I would prefer KDE! Gnome is more Evil with every new Release (I have used Gnome 1.x nearly 2 years). I think the Gnome HIG people smoke Crack, just look on the ugly Gtk File Dialog! Usability isn't improved, the opposite happens with Gnome. I really hope Gnome will be removed.
Sun did a good Job with Java 5 to improve it for the Desktop. Well. its still not perfect but a huge step compared to Java 1.4.x. I don't think Java is dead on Windows. Don't forget the increasing Mac OS and Linux Users. Many customers are very intrested in Platform independent technologies.
I use Linux and its still evil to watch movies embed in Websites. I love the idea to watch movies with a Java Applet. Besides that, Theora is a nice futuristic Codec which has hopefully the same success that OGG someday.
Legal or not, i'm sure there are not many peoples who like to buy it. Windows Users have much better IRC Clients than Xchat. The Shareware Release is shame and not the trouble worth. He possibly receive the same money with a Paypal donation Button:)

Well, i hate IE6 but its still *much* better that Netscape 4 regarding Web Standarts.
I can't believe it. After upgrading my USB Webcam didn't work anymore. I find out the pwc Driver is now removed :(
Shit, downgrade again...
