If you pull out the tape from a VHS cassette you can see the movie frame by frame physically which you can't do with a DVD. You do realize that VHS is a magnetic storage technology, right?

I think what started this debate is that the "obvious" link on the foxit site gives you that scam for their "pro" version. If you look a little to the left of the "big button" there is a small download link which gives you the free version without the scam. Or just follow the link up there to download.com. Reminds me of good old AVG Free edition. eventually, I just started googling for AVG free instead of trying to find it's hidden location on grisoft's site.
Wouldn't this also be abusable? Pick a stock, short it, spam the hell out of everybody, watch Ameritrade or whoever blacklist it, and watch the price drop. I'm pretty sure you can't short those stocks.
A) that would be Your sentence has twelve "s"s in it; you can use quotes around a letter when you're referring to that letter specifically, and B) apostrophes pluralize NOTHING. A) Fixed that for you. Yes you can use quotes, no that doesn't mean you can't use anything else. CAN A does not imply CANNOT B.
B) Which authority are you appealing to here? Did God write some rules of grammar in stone with his finger? Maybe my God wrote different rules than your God did. While it is true that most people do not pluralize with apostrophes solely, I have seen many examples of people using an apostrophe-s to denote a plural noun.
The bottom line is that there is absolutely no way to prove or disprove the existence of the soul. This should be obvious from the fact that if it were possible, someone would have done it by now. Is this a better form of argument from ignorance? My philosophy class didn't go over which ones were better than others...
3% isn't "nearly equivalent", except perhaps in political opinion polls. One in thirty three to thirty four? That's a non-negligible quantity. Call some value that you are measuring X, and some other fixed value Y. If the error in X is about the same or greater than Y-X, we can say that X and Y are "nearly equivalent." Of course there are some situations where this doesn't work, e.g. very high error, but 3% error is pretty small.
Especially when the precision of measuring things near the beginning of time is at the femtosecond scale. 1.57788E28 ticks is very different from 1 tick. Just because I can measure a widget with my micrometer down to the micron, doesn't mean that you can tell exactly how many microns away that widget is from you!
A large amount of the people who steal retail DVDs (box sets are a big target;small and expensive) are drug addicts and this is how they pay for their habit.
This may be true, but in South Korea, only old people steal retail DVDs.
Or the gp was using a shortening of the phrase "(As if) I could care less." This is one of those rare phrases that keeps the same meaning when negated. I use the negated form because I was taught in the way you say, but users of English have many phrases to choose from to get their point across.
Keep in mind this is not the "they did it too!" defense. This is the "What you're asking is unreasonable, see even your own company can't comply!" defense.
The standard molar volume of most any gas is still 22.4 L/mol so 8g of Oxygen would be 5.6L of oxygen. Throwing in a ratio of 25% Oxygen, and we end up with over 20L of air.
Still not sure how you got that other figure, but perhaps it refers to the liquid form.
lkcl meet littlefox. Littlefox, lkcl.
I see the Luddite movement has continued beyond the weaving machine issue...

You and your metric system...

Core Duo and 2GB of RAM is entry level spec for laptops now! There isn't much in laptops below $700 anyway.
Made me chuckle! WTG

Isn't movie-making mostly about suspending disbelief?
There, fixed that for ya.
