Perhaps most people don't appreciate the annoying features of normal MMORPGs and don't like "challenge" that means losing more progress if you die in a mind-numbingly boring battle?
Plus, it has been written largely in France, not the US.
Hm, this brings up an interesting question: Does the GPL require that it can be sublicensed royalty-free by anyone in your jurisdiction or anyone in the entire world? As such would it violate the GPL to distribute something that's patent encumbered in the US but not the rest of the world because a US American could download it and would not be able to redistribute it without paying patent royalties?
The beauty of the GPL is that Novell could just take the latest GPL2 version and fork it. Though I expect that to be done by someone anyway considering all the disputes over GPL2 vs. 3.
If you have granted a license you cannot arbitrarily revoke it since the license is a binding contract between you and the licensee. If you don't want the licensee to have those rights, well, shouldn't have granted them a license in first place. Once they have a license you can only take it away under the conditions outlined in the license.
The DS is current gen because it's the current generation of handhelds Nintendo is selling. Generations are defined by their shelf time, not by their capabilities.
Playing the Wii for 30min is a much less effective exercise than running with an exercise bike the same amount of time while playing Final Fantasy III in my DS.
Of course one of them trains your feet while the other trains your arms. Add exercise weights when using the Wii and you can get a real workout easily (for added fun, play boxing and take those weights off half way through the match).
Dont expect more than a mio in Europe until march... no buying season there!
Don't expect ANY sales in Europe until March, the thing comes out on the 23rd of March. They only get to make one delivery before the end of the fiscal year, while Sony only cares about shipping numbers instead of sales that's still a lot and AFAIK more than was available at launch in the US.
So you're telling me that all that functionality is not worth 600 dollars?
No, he's saying people don't want to pay for that functionality. The PS3 may do a lot but few people need all of those features so they don't want to pay more for the PS3 just because it has those features. If Sony was offering a PS3 that costs 300$ but only plays games, no Blu-Ray movies or anything most people would buy that because they already have those other features in another form or don't want them at all.
I'm the kind of person who doesn't decide in the store which console to buy, we're tlaking about 400€ and 600€ products here, by the time I go into a store I've done extensive research which one would fit me (and if I even want any of them).
The list does look like most of thse were meant to be porn. 17+ is not Adults Only, 17+ is Mature and Wal-Mart carries those. For what it's worth, the ones of these I've seen on store shelves here were rated 16.
It sounds like the guy is running an email service, too. In that case his domain would be important because his customers have their email addresses tied to it. 250k$ would probably not even cover his expenses.
Utilizing a huge marketshare in one market (in this case, search engines) in order to put a competitor in another market at a disadvantage violates antitrust laws.
I bought only one used game from GS so far, it was Castlevania: Circle of the Moon for the GBA (tough little cart, yes) and it lost the savegames every day or so. It didn't reset the game completion flags, though. No idea what happened there but I had to return it because that's not a game you can finish without saves.
Used games don't get better when they're sold as durable plastic carts.
"Adult only" is a fancy way of saying porn. A game designed to be AO (very rare in the US) usually is meant to be played one handed. Nothing about forbidden fruits, everything about Americans being so uptight they need to hide the porn away. Look at the uproar over the hot coffee mod for GTASA, I don't think any other country gave a damn (because GTASA does contain lots of stuff that's worse than that joke of a porn minigame by all sane standards and hot coffee really shouldn't have increased the rating).

Why did you remove Company of Heroes?
I wonder if there's a BOfH edition of Clue?
Certainly helps with those pesky highlanders.
With the constantly increasing restrictions in the GPLv3 I wonder when you'll get your license revoked just for making a joke about Stallman...
Only non-volatile copies count as real copies.
It's a written license agreement, that makes it a contract.

Don't tell me you can't control yourself enough to not buy some media?

Probably for the same reason it doesn't have controllers with a tilt sensor. Microsoft tried that before (WebTV) and it flopped hard.
I have other devices for that other stuff. The only thing I want and can't is play PS3 games but the PS3 is too expensive for just that.
So you're telling me that all that functionality is not worth 600 dollars?

Don't you mean "Googliath (BETA)"?

You aren't considering Zeta? You'd be even less mainstream than OSX PC users, every Apple fan is going to envy you!
