The new part of the Wii wasn't the hardware, it was the software. Games never had as broad an appeal before. If Nintendo had only made Gamecube-like games with added motion controls the Wii would have failed, it's the combination of new audience games (Wii Sports and the games that followed) and lapsed audience games (better Mario Kart, New Super Mario Bros) that boosted the Wii to where it ended up. Same with the DS, it was the software strategy, not the hardware, that made that thing the most popular system.
Just sticking more processing power into the next console won't sell it, the Wii has plenty of great games that are system sellers and don't need more processing power. Current Wii owners would not be convinced of the need to upgrade to a Wii HD because the games the Wii offers aren't going to be significantly improved by additional processing power.
Also a fun fact is that Wii games usually aim for a framerate of 60 while "HD" games often render at lower resolutions than 1280x720 just to achieve 30 frames per second.
These are projects run by single dudes, that's enough to take an animatronic puppet, add a bit of programming and sell it as a robot but it's not enough to research properly difficult subjects like AI. Also it gets you in the news when your bot looks like a human, people got bored of AI advances in toy robots long ago and most laymen don't understand the difficulties the researchers have overcome.
Then reduce the quotas. Currently offering capacity in highly demanded but useless degrees is very profitable, cutting supply there would force the people looking for those degrees to consider something else instead.
Education is necessary to get a good job but education is also so expensive that it can't be paid without going into debt before you have that good job.
That doesn't stop 100k+ earners from thinking of themselves as rich and favor measures that benefit the rich because they think that includes themselves.
It's not because of the topic but because of the thought process involved, Tetris does not involve the memory at all while pop quiz does so heavily. Tetris occupies the brain with tasks that don't involve the memory so it has fewer resources dedicated to burning the traumatic images into your memory.

The right extremists that are being attacked ARE the ones who follow the NPD, DVU or Republikaner. They form many parties but in the end it's the same old brownshirts. They are NOT conservatives. There are a ton of minority parties nobody really gives a damn about (PBC, Graue Panther, etc), the ones that get attacked are the ones that are seen as Nazi parties.
Germany: prevent any conservative or right-leaning party from ever be able to hold a congress, demonstration or election campaign, no matter what constitution and laws say about it. Beat people from conservative and right-wing parties (see ProKöln and others) to a pulp. People of conservative and right-wing opinions brought it on themselves, right?
