And if neither of these works, still there are twisted strings, 11-dimensional strings, combined strings, '80ies-style-disco strings, strings inside strings, so one of string theory will easily handle this crisis.
On Linux, Skype is buggy as hell. It would be actually good if they go away and someone like Google step in with something functional. They need it anyway for their Chrome OS.
17? Fucking hell... where I live (Prague, Europe) 14 is legal (before it was 15, but parliament change it year ago (at least to my best knowledge from local media).
Releasing desktop OS without ability to play YouTube videos, for example, would be really stupid. Also, Skype (or Google replacement?) will need Flash too. I can't see that working on JavaScript. Then there are existing apps (Gmail) that use Flash for some functionallity.
you don't need double blind test for lossless formats. If you decode your audio file, you can use binary diff to see if any of codecs has bugs (different decoded file to original source file).
1) You can play latest games on your 4 years old computer or even cheapo Linux ARM netbook.
2) Privacy concerns in games is dubious argument.
3) Avid gamers save $$$ on lower power consumption.
This thing installed on tier 1 internet server might bring large portion of MS Windows and nVidia value to zero. If it really works as advertised, sell shares of above companies.

They sure have patent on breaking other people's SW interacting with their SW (Office formats, MS Java, Grub/Lilo support,... ) so how about giving them little bit of their own medicine? (Breaking.NET plugin with next Firefox update). I know, I know, not gonna happen...
I tought Theora is useless on the web, given Flash is becoming open, but now I think standard way of video streaming (based on Theora) is *definetly* needed.
I don't understand why project was deleted from SF? I mean, DMCA is used only in USA, so I, plus couple of other people, don't give a flying fuck about that. Why we follow least common denominator way of doing things, like accepting software patents, DMCA-shit... whats next, integrating Chinese internet filters (thats valid law, just like DMCA) right into Kernel? How about reverse approach: making special (crippled) editions of software projects for countries with screwed up laws.

If they don'y obey, Bruxelles will cancel this whole Sweden-as-sovereign-country experiment.
