I actually read TFA and from what I understand, plant is using quantum computing to solve sort of Traveling Salesmen Problem (TSP) in constant time. TSP belongs to the class of NP-complete problems. Thus, it is assumed that there is no efficient algorithm for solving TSP problems on non-quantum computer.
I am using beta Windows 7 CXP (Crippled Experience) so applications are defined by items in taskbar. I can't tell more because they also limited per app keystro
yeah, Sweden is socialist country in many areas and for many decades, but it kinda works so well that free-market evangelists never mention anything about it, they prefer talking about Cuba.
Following same logic, bin Laden should be named as anti-terrorist chief of operations. Who knows better how terrorists plan their attacks on innocent people?
I am looking forward to Intel's ray-tracing solution, that will make creating of any game *much* easier. Just place your objects to scene and there you go, no need for object simplifying algorithms and computing of all sorts of stuff related to lighting. If they bind it to Java in some smart and powerful way, everybody and my cat will be able to create great-looking games. Finally, playability part will become major factor instead of stupid shadows and FPS.
Funniest part of this all is that there is crazy guy on YouTube arguing Universe is Fractal (except with his own bullshit arguments) for a long time.

It always occured to me that more interesting question is how and why THE algorithm (be it fractal or not) is evaluated then what exactly commands and parameters are.
I believe they needed to settle, because of maps. There are only two companies owning global map data, one is owned by TomTom and another by Nokia. Nokia is already competitor, so there was no way for MS to alienate TomTom for a long time. Without maps MSN would collapse under the weight of Google more then it already does.
I hate Microsoft just like next guy, but sorry, *ALL* software patents are troll patents in my book. If you start using it against anyone else (which I don't say is the case of TomTom, we don't know yet) then prepare other SW patents to bite you back.
I agree, plus I think this is not in POSIX maybe because original POSIX authors considered this obvious enough. POSIX doesn't explicitly request many other obvious things (like: "in case of fsync() user's laser printer should not start burning in flames and his cat should stay alive").
Maybe there is, somewhere in the world, guy who pays lots of $$$ to ISPs to 404 Twitter site as often as possible. If this is the case, that guy is really rich and his brain works in similar way as mine.
It boils down to: we understand issue rather well and think TPB is not guilty for people using it to find other people sharing files they like/need. Judge might or might not understand what is it all about, technology behind it quite complex, so it is preferable if TPB wins *whatever* way.
Or perhaps: "stop producing fake imitation of Budweiser beer before putting anyone else on the blacklist".

It tried to attack my Ubuntu box. I entered admin password on request, but then it complained about missing c libs and opened Synaptic. Lame!

no, in this case gravity waves = gravity. It is like light waves and superconducting sheet being mirror.

I am 35 and look at me! Still posting my comments!
Photons are dangerous, ask Schroedinger's cat !
I always thought how big and clumsy my Shuffle is, thank god they finally addressed this issue !
Because finally, Real Artists will get some online respect.
MFC, OCX/ActiveX/COM/DCOM, ATL, VisualJ, FoxPro, ...
This name alone is so creepy. Orwellian use of word "Freedom".
Whats next, asking Linux kernel maintainers to drop all these closed source binary blob drivers.
or, perhaps, fixing those pages comes to mind...

Thats what Hans Reiser also said.
