'A novice's greatest fear is sitting in front of a motionless command prompt with no idea what to type; or, as so frequently happens, knowing a command that he copied verbatim from a document discovered on the internet somewhere, but with no idea of what it means or how to alter it if it doesn't behave exactly as advertised.'
Is it? I for once get all fuzzy inside when that happens. It's called being a geek.
There is a good reason for this. Which is actually bad for SCO.
Yesterday the stock hit the 52 week low has well as the same price it had *before* announcing it would fill the suit against IBM. Its just a bounce off a very value. Curiously enough there seems to be some volume.
Volkswagen is a brand, not a model. In 1980 there we're at least the Polo, Golf, Passat and Beegle models (and their respecive subsets). The first Golf VWs were very lightweight, my family owned one in the 80s.
I really don't understand how this can be built! I understand what the final structure will look like in the end and how it is suppose to resist the brutal forces. But how do you connect the start point and the end point? You just don't tie a rope to the space shuttle, you have to have some kind of structure.
Can anyone with clear ideas on the subject enlighten me on this one?
The anime market is very different from the western animation market. Mainly because in the West there isn't really a matured interest in animation films since they're geared towards the infant market.
In Japan this kind of film usually has great results in both cinema and DVD releases.
The people responsible for this business plan need to understand that, if an invention turns out to be ugly, the chances than it can be spinned into something fashionable are quite slim.
They should be working to mitigate that, not enhance it by painting it purple!
I'm portuguese so, the answer to your question would be... yes, basic english somewhat transcends me. And my habilities to discern, interpret or develop a coherent written english statement are somewhat limited. Thankyou for anonymously pointing that out.
Web monkey was my first real PHP, MySQL and JavaScript online resource. It's tutorials were always clear, fun and extremely "hands on".
WebMonkey was probably the best place for a beginner to learn the basis of Internet development.
I'm sure allot of Perl "holier than thou" developers will bash me for this, but somehow I feel the web will be worse off without such a valuable help do web development newbies.
Then you won't be interested in any mobile phone in the future, since that's were the whole industry is clearly headed.
Saying you don't need a phone to be a PDA/Browser etc. is like saying that you don't need a computer to be more than just an electronic type writer.
I think many are forgetting about something that's extremely important. Backwards compatibility.
If Microsoft maintains backwards compatibility with the current XBOX, developers don't have to jump in right away. Instead the hardware potencial will be there and when game technology catches up Microsoft will have a platform already waiting.
Don't forget that that was the major feature for Playstation 2. It might not matter much now, but when developeres are in the process of crossing over, backwards compatibility is all that matters.
The new QD does seem to resolve allot of problems. Namely the hotwasp and the now famous side talkinganti-feature. They'll probably get it right eventually, but it's heavilly dependent on the likes of EA and Activision to develop the "right kind" of games for N-GAGE.
P.S. I don't know how they're going to solve the size issue, maybe a side panel format like the new 6260 is the solution.
Hey!
Hold the WMD! I was just pointing out that N-GAGE already supports 3D. Geez... can't a guy criticize his own geek toys anymore without beeing marked has a troll:) ?
This isn't selling a product which is known to be addictive and cause cancer.
For crying out loud!! Have you ever seen a computer science major working with Visual Basic? You take a good look at that and tell me to my face that Microsoft products aren't addictive or cause cancer!

The reason why no one will find that article at the Onion is because it isn't an Onion article. Brian Brigs wrote it in his site bbspot.com.
Just setting the record straight.

Just my 2 cents.
Well, sort of. Check out this article at News.com
It comes as no suprise since Nokia's strategy has clearly been one of standardization.
And what better way to standardized than to support an open source project?

Geez
Although I'm the first to point out the serious problems with this platform.
The fact is that it already supports allot of elaborate 3D games.
... or is that thing plugged into the wall?
Not particularly mobile.
Maybe GI Joe there can carry one of these in his backpack.
I seriously fail to spot the AI in this.
Random number generation is more likely, but I doubt any AI techniques are needed or applicable to this.

They mention plans to make it run Linux too, by making it dual-boot to Debian. Since Fedora clearly isn't an alternative.
Actually, it doesn't ...
The numbers are simillar (1.414... , 1.618...) and that caused a lot of misinformation over the years, you can get more info at wikipedia.
