Well i can say this: Windows 7 rocks. I use Windows 7 64-bit on a dual-core AMD X2. 4200+ 4GB RAM. And i have two USB drives: a Seagate 250GB external drive and a Flash Drive for ReadyBoost. Two internal drives: Hitachi 7200 RPM and a Seagate velociraptor as primary drive for OS. I must say that Windows 7 is much much faster than even XP ever was. The external drives are able to write/read at 20MB/second considering that they are USB 2.0 and i have four peripherals dangling out of same USB rack. Internal drives are faster by about 15-20% than XP.
