I also know the hassles of making it work on non-Apple machines.

Seems fair enough. After all i have a family license, so i can run it on another machine.

I used to download cracked games and stuff, until i kaspersky did a deep scan of my drive and came up with 100 trojans. I stopped after that.

Like me reparing my XP partition nn times. No, Windows will never ask for activation when i repair it, and even it does the activation limit is NOT tripped.
That's what Spore DRM does. The first time you install it, your hardware signature is sent to EA with your login. Next time, you re-install it with SAME CD key and same user login on same machine, it gets activated without tripping anything.
Third time you try same login on different hardware, it trips the first countdown.
I have Company of Heroes and opposing fronts, they too use the same method, and i have reinstalled on same machine thrice so far (first time times i added a new hard drive and "moved" the game to new drive, the 2nd time i had to reinstall XP, and third time i bought OF and had to uninstall CoH and install OF first). No, my activation crap was NOT tripped.
I also own Crysis, which after my xp reinstall i have NOT installed. but yes, it too will not trip up since the hardware is same.
I guess some like it raw, and that is why they like to hack and slash to play a game. For me i like it cooked and served to eat.

The moment the insults turn personal, the Admin jumps in and warns the offender. If the offender continues his rampage he is given a time-out as a temporary ban.
if the timeout didn't cool him and he comes back again bashing people, he is permanently banned.
In my opinion, this is very good.
I use forums for tips, or cheat codes or advice on a couple of hardware. Like the time my PC was unable to read Spore DVD, and an admin of EA came and told me to copy off the install files from someone else's dvd or download it, and then use my own keys to install the same.
