About: I have this case that may interest your scrutiny as it involves significant injustice. It is my firm belief that I have been targeted systematically by the Lis family of Hong Kong (more specifically, Richard Li to whom I sent a letter back in May 2001, it is also my suspicion that he might have perpetrated criminal acts such as obstruction of justice and/or bribery and other unspeakably dishonourable acts during the process. Their denial of my opportunities is ridiculous to anyone that can still have any sense of humour. Shameful and scandalous if it is taken rationally and seriously. It is the Enron of Asia and beyond when revealed.
Google's "Don't be evil" is very much like the "core values" of the city that I am currently in.
Can they afford to be independent (no quotation mark here) when that kind of money is involved? Are they that technologically advanced (VOIP, yeah right) and people highly intelligent that plenty of people cannot do the same? Or is it just truth that tech industry is "regulated" so that very few of the designated can do it?
One must ask, what group of people have been protecting google so that it could gain widespread market acceptance in such a short period of time? And what motives these people have?
Nobody can deny that google is a brandname (a marketing term I tend not to use), but has it got any goodwill?
A columnist connected the last earnings report with the last US election which both took place on 2nd November 2004. Major transaction also announced on the same day as inauguration today. There is a more than suspicious connection between the two. I have always wondered if the two have the same fate, this time it is confirmed. This explains why news concubine has been hiding the shit. Hoho, there will be some serious fun in the next 1 to 2 years.
The posting of the whole review makes it disgusting and blatant advertising. It is just pathetic that main-stream media including non-profits are so involved in this kind of shady deals like paupers. Were they born with spines or were they born with something else? Such artifical word-of-mouth makes me sick.

It came with the systems (not beta) and has not been fixed for so long. I read during weekend that two companies (Buffalo!) are innovating in WiFi systems that can be configured with one button. This was the kind of automation that I expected from Airport Extreme but no. Where has all the hyped apple's innovations been? Marketing and industrial design?
That ipod shuffle looks so backward when compared to that ancient time creative muvo. Jobs' talent, yeah right.
That mac mini (actually PCs of this particular size, it is already all about media centre) is another attempt (of course fruitless) to try to switch users to their OS. Actually for "that kind" of money, people can buy a functional PC with all peripherals. Blah.
Bring your own mouse indeed. A more-than-two-buttons mouse can be the beginning of apple's "innovation". HeHeHe.
Apple is only good at sales (especially when they have the sale of new products globally co-organised with little or no time-lag) and marketing.

I suppose I am one of the few people that qualifies to say that Hong Kong is the last place to found a tech company or do anything tech-related.

I was an Apple fan back in the late 80s, in fact I recommended it to most people I knew. Although most undergraduates used it just for word-processing, it was still quite an enlightening and dazzling experience (especially considering the fact that Suns were for postgraduates only and PCs a little more user-friendly than the mainframe computer in the department). I once thought of spending more than 1000 pounds on one of those tiny all-in-ones called SE , but I didn't because that's going to be a very expensive word-processor and I had my Toshiba T1000 already.
But my view has dimmed quite significantly (even during their financial troubles, their Newton still interested me but was quite expensive) after my purchase of iBook G4 early this year.
1 of all, the firewall is not configurable like ZoneAlarm or Norton's Personal Firewall. I had to download a third-party application from the net to get the job done. It was, in my opinion, a truly horrendous job done by Jobs. Absolutely disappointing.
2. It is no stabler than Windows. I occasionally get grey screens that prompt me to turn the computer off while the system was running. Not to mention the automatic quitting of applications from time to time. Also the overheating of CPU and GPU is definitely a problem for heavy users.
3. The only thing that really distinguishes Mac from Windows is that Apple controls the hardware side as well. Thus they can make full use of their uniformity (of mostly the same colour, no contrast, shades or harmony) design to attract buyers. The form factor does not work such a magic on me as to other people. The latest iMac is, I deem, a failure in terms of appearance and features. Sony's Vaio W series has AV functions and looks way better than that LCD monitor look of iMac.
4. In terms of the Mac OS, I don't think there is anything they can be really proud of. It is no different from Windows when it comes to user experience. It was my favourable expectation that they could have surprised me again after so many years through a just-as-simple but powerful GUI and high automation. No, I didn't get those, Mac is instead (the less favourable side of my expectations) a reference system to me.
In general, Mac users are getting the same or less when compared with Windows'. It is no longer the computer for elites (I hate to use this word, because different people tend to have very different definitions), it is a computer for minorities.
There is nothing truly special about Apple, so stop the thoughtless hyping. I myself can come up with similar or better products.

They were all genuinely created by me and the venture was deemed by me as fair to potential investors. eBay even allowed a lesbian to sell her virginity on their site (that made them literally a pimp, excuse me), but they won't let a decent entrepreneur raise capital through their web-site. There are other business plans listed in that category of eBay and mine should be the best. Combined with what I have encountered in the past 3 years for the projects, it is my judgement that there is a depicable war out there. And people at eBay have become war criminals (or more precisely Nazis, I know) themselves.
