actually, there was a design for a lamp-like Mac and actually made into a prototype case in 1995. it was on the cover of macworld and it's in the book AppleDesign
sure they'd only sell parts, but you'd be able to get car parts, truck parts, tank parts, plane parts, train parts, crane parts, snowplower parts, tires, tracks, helicopter rotors, blueprints, jet fuel, nitrous oxide, spoilers, giant robotic arms, spray paint for the exterior, radar systems, chassis extensions, ROCKET LAUNCHERS, and reconfigurable engines.
because he has somehow convinced the press that they are to be his lapdogs. large-scale terrorist activity didn't hurt his powers of persuasion. clinton didn't get so lucky.
azrael is the name of the angel of death in muslim and jewish theology.
UNFORTUNATELY, you are right about smurfette. the smurfs are blue because, by papa smurf's decree and the lack of condoms made in smurf-size, they only have sex once a year.
who gets the short end of the stick? smurfette, because there ARE no gay smurfs.
no, you're thinking of acetate. a CD and a vinyl record take about the same force to break, but a CD is much more impressive, especially if you cut some cracks into it beforehand.
acetate only lasts a few plays before the sound quality goes to hell, and that's why it's only used sparingly nowadays
you can use any GSM phone you wish, but the provider will only fix phones you bought from them. my brother took his sim out of his free t306 and put it in his t68i, mostly because he could use bluetooth!
gsm is not as common as other networks (tdma or cdma, whichever it is), however.
LotR is impressive not necessarily because of the story, but because Tolkien CREATED THREE OR FOUR LANGUAGES and then the entire history to explain them and their cultures. He was a linguistics professor.
The Matrix doesn't really do anything new. It's a watered-down version of lots of different philosophy with imagery from various religions thrown in. If you look at it like a kung fu movie with western sci-fi trappings, it works, but it ISN'T a deep story, and all the questions it asks were taken from somewhere else.
even FARK.com has news before /. nowadays

you think detroit doesn't already have those?

ANALOGIES SUCK.
this is an artistic competition, not a number-crunching competition.
i assumed that would be the power switch, no?
yes, but be careful not to move it to quickly or the liquid crystal will slosh around and ruin your picture. ;)
the dell one is missing some useful features!
NO POWER SWITCH!
still, under $1k is awesome.

Sick of Gentoo zealots throwing plugs in completely unrelated topics? Just type "emerge unmerge gentoo-zealots" at a root prompt... OH WAIT.
which do you mean?
there are HDCD and SACD formats which have multiple layers and thus can have more channels of sound
or do you mean the cd with something like a video included, which is usually only used for singles anyway?

pedantic note regarding your sig!
technically, that's libel and defamation. you shouldn't to be able to tell lies about anyone anywhere.
well, sco's issue is with the linux KERNEL which even stallman agrees should be called "Linux" and not "GNU/Linux"
i remember apple having a hard time when they were using LOTS of custom parts on their motherboards.
there were numerous suppliers who weren't keeping up with demand, thus shipping was held up.
maybe microsoft has a better plan in mind but relying on many external suppliers can be hazardous!
doesn't sony make them with a USB interface?
there wouldn't be a point, if that were true.
you can't record to an mp3 cd player. you can record to a minidisc.
buy the animated series and we'll show you how deep the jawa hole goes...

do you at least show up and visibly abstain? at least that way you're counted.
plus there are local referenda that should be voted upon even if other parts of government disgust you too much
