    Oh they dont put up with it. They just dont know there is a alternative.

    From what they hear, Linux is a OS for hippies which only geeks who live in their parent's basements can use.

    Gentoo works well on any hardware. Probably because its source based.

    With a binary based distros you have to make a decision about how much hardware your going to support.

    What annoys me is all you need is a calculator to work out the White House's gps coordinates from surrounding data points.

    Blurring only stops the terrorists who cant do math.

    Yeah if you put up walls then someone will see if they can tear them down.

    I for example enjoy messing with certain MMORPGs as a hobby.
    Its very theraputic. :)

    Would a website which was basically just a database full of constantly updated title keys be legal if it wasnt hosted in the US?

    FOSS HD-DVD/Blu-ray players could just query it to play any movie of their choice.

    Each model of hardware player has the same key. They dont all have unique keys.

    If I break one hardware dvd player and they decide to revoke its key then all of the players break which are the same model.

    I had only thought about this. I didnt get around to making it.

    For the TIs you can in theory make a small infrared transmitter to talk to other calculators instead of a link cable.

    If it had its own battery then it could probably go a fair distance. :)

    Yep the Palms rock.

    My mum has a T3, my sister has a TX and I have a LifeDrive.
    We are all very happy with them.

    And my mum doubted me when I told her to avoid the Windows based ones. ;)

    While I'm sure Vista will be installed everywhere I'm not too sure about what will happen after Vista.

    Linux is getting more and more polished and Windows upgrades are becoming less and less worthwhile.
    Sooner or later the scales will tip.

    It all depends on what the first normal users think of it.

    If your average user buys a new PC with Vista on it and he doesnt like it then he'll tell his friends to avoid Vista.
