    Opteron can be used in any combination.
    Single processor to Quad Processor, Single core to quad core.

    Bittorrent doesnt need reliable communications, and congestion control can be tuned for bittorrent connections.

    You say its less of a insurmountable barrier now.

    But I'll humor you. I'm a Aussie.
    If we look at the CIA factsheet, we see that 92% of Australians are white, 7% are Asian and 1% are Aboriginal.
    We've only had 26 Prime Ministers so we are ok so far.

    Same with the recent US election.

    I find it appalling that Obama is celebrated because of his skin colour.

    I like the guy but I care just as much about what colour his car is, as what colour his skin is.

    It just goes to show that the US is still extremely racist - just now its sympathetic and not derogatory.

    PHP 5 is pretty API stable.
    Sure they made some mistakes earlier, but they are fixed now.

    No, the game goes full speed, you just die randomly however as someone runs in, head shots you, runs out and your computer is still trying to render the first frame.

    The good thing about manufacturers opening their drivers is you get a completely free distro and its fully functional.

    Thats odd because all the Atheros chips are very open, and I think this is was the last bit that was closed.
    I dont think there is anything left that is closed.

    Actually ath9k is fully open source by Atheros.

    No firmware, no HAL, nothing.

    I've bought two of the cards to support Atheros even though the drivers arent 100% just yet.
    I also have a older b/g card which works superbly.

    The only reason I've heard for sites getting blacklisted is for doing dodgy SEO and trying to game the system.

    They worked with Codeweavers for all their Linux ports.

    Whats wrong with a Ardunino?

    Ok its probably too big for your use.
    You can however take the chip the arduino uses (or a similar model), and use it standalone without the USB and power regulator stuff you dont need..

    You've never played with a Arduino obviously.
    I've got three of them. Very nifty.

    Actually its not the Arduino its self which is great.
    Its the ATtiny and ATmega processors from Atmel which seriously kick ass.
    Little chips which you can wire up in 5 mins, run at 20mhz and Atmel has very thoughtfully provided patches to GCC.

    You program them with standard C/C++ on any OS you can name and its all open source.
    The Arduino builds upon that.

    But we are talking about the software running on the hardware device, not the hardware its self.
    No one is demanding that nVidia should open up the cad files for their chips and schematics for their boards.
