...before you all start to go nuts hear me out. Sure we know music is starting to suck but there is only so much money to go round and as consumers were are starting to spend our money on other items. For instance I believe video games and DVD sales are booming if recent figures are to be believed . Now that money has to come from somewhere, it is just a sign of changing times and market trends shifting. I personally dont think we will ever see CD sales return to what they were.
Couldnt disagree more.

From...ahem play testing at a uh friends house...all the way through I got to be honest when I say I wish I didnt have this arriving in the post in a weeks time. The magic of the first one jsut isnt there. Its about half the length and you can tell that it is just getting strugn out into a fresh "chapter" each year. It dosent play as smoothly, the multiplayer aspect of it is lacking compared to the first, the story is not as tight and fun as the first and its about half the length. To be honest it feels more like an expansion pack rather than a full and slaved over game. Its just a pity that the magazines jump on the bandwagon. It deserves to do well just not as well as it will do. Instad of your own money ask for it as a gift for christmas or thanksgiving. You wont feel so let down.
Lets face it, the only reason Dubya is taking this stance is because his family and all his friends stand to lose out BIG TIME if the substances which create green house gasses are curbed. The only reason he doesnt ratify it is because the Saudis and all the rest of his "texas gold" friends are in it to shaft the rest of us for every penny they can get.
This is what you voted for America and this is why the rest of the world is pissed off with you.
..."Where Do We Come From? What Are We? Where Are We Going?". "well I dont know about anyone else . But I came from my room. I'm a kid with big plans and I'm going outside! See ya later!"
"Say, who the heck is Paul Gaugin Anyway"
Sorry, couldnt help myself - Calvin and Hobbes (still missed)
because all those people who can make good games are going to save their asses again. Dont get me wrong, Half life kicked ass and I am sure that half life 2 will kick ass too but the only reason half life is so fondly remembered is due to the number of world class mods that came out. Valve made a good game, amateur coders made their engine a phenomenon.
because in Europe the standard for warranties is 1 year, be it a new PC, an xbox or a stereo. I know its still not a long time as far as fair use and build quality goes but it is still better than a meagre three months. It might be worth letting a leech of a lawyer get his claws into a fat paycheck if the US customer ends up an eventual winner.
Well it looks like its settled 8-)
The speccy is Definitley BETTER than the C64 and here is the proof! We won the war only about 15 years too late
Now if you will excuse me time to sit back and hopefully toast some marshmallows on the heat
Put it down to piracy or put it down to greed but this is going to start happening and soon it will be more and more.
Think about it, half life/steam is currently the largest base of players on the net, there are around 25k CS servers on the net at any one time with second place hobbling along at 7-9k. How long is it before a suit takes a look and figures out that even if they charge, figures show that number will go down to 5k servers. It is still more money than they get now.
Oh sure they will say it is to provide more revenue for further production of a AAA quality product and to reward their client base with an ever expanding game universe with more maps and greater interactivity thereby resulting in a more enjoyable experience. (stop me if this bullshit starts to sound familiar).
The truth is that all of the game companies want to start along this path its just that valve feel like they rule the gaming world and feel that they can get away with it. Once they prove that even with a reduced fanbase (albeit one that pays up regularly) then it will open the flood gates and I dont rate our chances at being able to turn it back
except with a blow up doll you do the screwing - at the end of halo 2 you just feel screwed

I think they felt a swell of pride when they got mentioned from TFA "News: In what began as a primarily geek phenomenon at Slashdot.org,"

Dont forget the torture and humiliation of serving drinks to his evil "invaders" who he is desperatley fighting against!
