    Most apps are just as stable on windows as on any other platform, why should gaim be any different? And switching to Linux/mac/*BSD just isn't an option for the vast majority of people, but that doesn't mean someone can't complain when something doesn't work right.

    Already have gmail, and I don't support those pyramid marketing schemes. But it's a fair trade I guess for someone who wants a gmail account (but really, who doesn't have one anymore who wants one?)

    From what I can understand, it seems to only apply to people with an Internet capable computer and NO TV. About a 16 EURO per month fee to cover anything you might be doing for free that would have cost you if you had been using the TV.

    But like I said, I only speak a little German so that may not be correct.

    Data will last FOREVER, as long as a medium exists to transfer it to. Forever beats 100 years.

    Remember data doesn't last forever but a well kept letter will.

    You're kidding right? Paper, even well preserved, will eventually decay completely over time. Bits of data can be copied and "life-boated" to new storage mediums an infinite number of time without decay as long as new storage devices can be made.

    I never tried to defend it, or said it was OK, I was merely pointing out that they are not the same thing. A thief and a copyright infringer are both guilty of a crime under current law in America, but not the same crime.
