Yes, maybe some, no. Yes, many develop leadership skills (of sorts good only in the virtual game space) Maybe some are tub of lards, hell if you come over and think after running a raid or 2, I am a tub of lard, I will show you how I can do laundry on my 6pack. No, the game is highly addictive, the only thing stopping me from playing continuously, is 3 things, a girlfriend that whines all the time, the dogs that need to be walked often, and a scrooge side, that will not allow me to spend on a game I bought already (supposedly). I play 2 months on, 2 months off.
ROFL, you definately havent gotten yourself atleast 1 character to lvl 80 on WoW, have you? You would not be speaking about WoW (the most highly addictive game) like that. If you feel confident enough with your statement, and feel you are strong enough to prove me wrong, join our server, Terrokar, and start a character, we will help you along with development so that your character reaches lvl80 in a week, then use it as you feel, but guaranteed you will want in every night on the heroic dungeon runs we plan, and after about a year, when you have developed carpotunnel syndrome, and have put on 20 pounds on your gut...then we will see how NOT addictive WoW, is compared to other games.
BTW- this is not a caricature of myself, as I am one of the few that is uniquely strong in being able to put the controller down....and pick up the weights, or run a few miles afterwards.
I see....knowing that you don't have the ability or know how for a corporate takeover in real life, but to know you tanked flawlessly a 40 man raid in WoW and have all your peers attention as a very good tank (being invited in future raids being important!) does give you the same satisfaction level.
Each is important in their own worlds, yet either one crossing over would be lame really in their counterparts places.
I would rather have the ability to be able to take over microsoft, should I choose to, but playing WoW and doing well in raids I think is a little more achievable for me at this point, you?
The technology is sound, this is in let's say a military operation where the government being spied on knows they are begin spied on, and have all communications bugged. This is a new technology that has yet to be decoded, so technically, yes it would double the amount of data sent, and also raise a flag for dropped packets...but the whole premise is that the flag has already been risen, and everything is already under a microscope.
An agent overseas, needing to send a confirmation that an operation has succeeded, needs only a few words to convey the message, they don't go on about a page and a half about what happened and where they went for lunch! Even morse code could easily piggy back unto this system, and low and behold, the through put would be lessened as such is the way of morse, you say only important abbreviations to convey the message!
Unless I agree, they were all put near a heater on the floor, and then 2 montths later, all of a sudden, all 4 drives die, (because winter hits and the heaters come on)...yes...I do have some clients of mine that have cost themselves a few bucks, because they did not understand the implications of environment.
Well, also job security is part of your own job description. Sure, it is tough for the management to understand that when you dont have to work because everything runs smoothly. it means your earning your pay, however, once in awhile...it is good to be able to test a stable environment....sort of like saying to your boss... I know this is a great system, but I can make it better, here are the benchmarks i came up with... we can increase output here and here, which would save us x amount of bandwidth per month... or i can install a filter for websites not belonging to those we want our employees looking at (facebook) while they are at work, although sourceforge.net (i am a programmer) is a must etc...and that will net us about xxx profit because of less time wasted looking surfing the web.
These types of "tests" will show your dedication to keep things improving and also show you are aware of the bottom line when you work, this goes a long way to impress the importance of your superiority compared to the last guy that just sat there all day doing nothing until something broke.
How much can you sell 1000 wow gold for right now...30$! That is a real amount, that may not be much for us, but for an underworld with no economy, a south african village where every little hacker mines gold and gets them to resell for them, 30$ in an impoverished country is ALOT!
If i wanted to play life....i would just live my own, the whole premise of games is to be able to do things you cant in real life. This is the real reason why second life will never really work, no one wants their own life, they want that other guy's, as well, immortality...or a virtual version of it...why play a game where aging actually exists and affects you???
Problem is ego, the bigger they are, the harder....they don't listen! If someone at the top management of this project were to get their heads out of their asses, and realize that WINE is the only thing stopping many from switching from Windows to Linux, they might make a serious mental note to include certain fixed as critical on their to do list!
WINE is the only thing that makes a windows app work on linux, so why not make it as best as you can, because the higher the people coming over because WINE lest them use their favorite app on linux, the better.NO?
This being my one and only game for about 4 years now....I have found the true formula to happiness, is 2 months on, 2 months off....this way i play until my hearts content for the 2 months, and then catch up on everything else for the 2 months afterwards. The important thing to remember is yes, this is not just another MMO, this is WoW, it actually has its own economy within the game. You have auction software that you can use to peruse through the AH, and resell what is undervalued, and not play any of the game, but make 1000s of gold just sitting at the AH. Then you have continuous updates that enhances the game itself, and slowly, blizzard is warming up to the fact that the game is aging, and will eventually need to turn itself into a more obtainable schema for quests, and achievements, so they raise the damage you do, or raise the healing you take, little by little,....except for the new, new stuff, that they still make hard as crap to finish.
My one pet pieve, is that I already have a lvl 80 character, you want me to try others and "waste" my time even more playing your game, make it interesting, make it half as difficult for me to level another character....based on the no of alts i have i can level a new character that much faster.
This way i "want" to try something new...cuz' it still costs me 15$ per month to play....ya know!
synergy so far is the only software based shared kvm like program, that lets you run multitudes of computers from the same kvm environment. as for getting a real kvm switch, this is always ok, except you will have to switch between computers instead of actually forcing spread control from the keyboard amongst the comps.
OMG, you mention the brainwashing that you receive from friends and family, but I more so believe it is the whole system as a whole while growing up. You don't ask a brick layer about diamonds....if your nutritionist looks like they eat a cow a day, don't ask them their advice...however if you want something like a professional athlete, ask them!
They eat 6 to 8 times a day, smaller meals, because this causes the metabolic rate to shoot up more often through out the day, plus eating the right things in sequence (combinations) makes for better digestion and also more consistent energy as your day progresses.
I would never starve myself if I did not have to, and certainly not for dieting...the word diet means what you eat, not NOT WHAT YOU EAT...it's not about cutting back so much as knowing what is going in. You have to understand the concepts first, before applying them!
Most that are obese are doing a disfavor and will get all the weight back if they cut too much on the food going in...they lose all the muscle, then when they go back to eating normally, they gain it back....the muscle that is....
So when I hear you saying 3 to 4 meals a day, I would shoot you first before letting you poison anyone else with that false info.... more meals per day, snacking on vegetables, and asparagus, and proteins, less on the carbs. More water, less pop, no salt, no sauce or any kind. No butter, margarine, oils except the good one, olive oil. No sugars, except natural, like fresh orange juice...keep the juices to beg. of day, not before bed...stop eating carbs at 2 hours before going to bed...wake up during the night have a protein shake (when u go pee).
The staple to any bodybuilder worth his salt is to understand his own body, as bodies are all diff. from one another, first and formost, then also understanding that sometimes you have to push further then you think you can stand. Learning about food does not mean become a bodybuilder, but seeing some of those "natural" freaks, as yes there are natural competitions too, which are tested etc... they do it all based on the food, and alot of workout too, but more so the food.
The rippled 6 pack, with veins constricting through out,....ask Bill Phillips, author of Body For Life, he'll tell you , the drugs and supplements are just to get big, but to get cut, its all about the food....nothing more "anabolic" then eating food!!!
It was a last minute attempt to avoid being caught with his pants down by his wife, he told the SS to erase or remove any trace of Monica's address so his wife could not find out....too bad he couldn't burn the dress.
I agree, they try to make up all these excuses, like offering dedicated servers if you want to run cgi scripts or updating the server to be able to run flash.....sometimes, they have to come up with novel ways to charge for stuff you normally should have with the base service.
Are you telling me you think this business model works at the upper most level? Who do you think accepts the used games, the President? Seriously, before coming down on someone who has been gaming for years and is a valued member at EBGames which was for the most part the foremost successful store to purchase used games from people, still had a business model where the person accepting the used game had to review if there were any scratches or was a cdkey licensed game only.
Being the avid text messaging geek I am, I am sure you can overlook the forced typo, however, I could never overlook your lack of awareness to this type of business model in use today. Maybe I will agree to disagree, but do not tempt my trolling power....for it is an evil one....
Thats if the ISP u r signed up with offers sftp...godaddy...you have to pay more for that service...you woudl think it isnt that much more to offer their clients security for the same price...but wow....how bad does it have to get before they make these options standard for any website?
Problem is that pdfreader and flash are made by same company...and a lot of websites are stupid enough to use flash only on their websites....without even so much as some html sidelines, in case you don't have flash. So guess what....you see u need flash, u download it, then it auto installs other stuff (common to adobe) which might share some of it with pdfreader...so even if you don't have it installed, you might have some of the components installed anyways.
Sorry...something as simple as a program that runs only to calculate the sum of a & b to = c, can be buggy... say let's say that you used unsigned integers...on a 16bit architecture, (although you are not aware that this program of yours would be used on windows3.1....you just assumed it was going to be windowsxp...so a bug per say, even though most would fix this bug by stating the obvious, "we do not support anything less then windowsxp"...voila problem solved, for your shoddy code.
Does walmart know this....most EBGames geeks might...but the regular counter clerk at Walmart is far from a geek.. unless they force someone to review purchases before they happen...they might get stuck with people selling their wow accounts for more then they r worth.
Like i stated...it would be up to the ISP to cap a particular "residential" line with 100$ for the first infraction...yes the person sending the email gets charged...so someone having virus that spams, would know this on their next bill...and could ask to reverse the charges, but then if they are caught again (because they did not remove the bug) , they are now fined 500$ and have may not as easily get this charge removed...also...a repair man to reinstall windows...might make things look harder , then it really is.... ghost your drive right after you install windows.... then if you get problems, you copy over the old image and start fresh...most use vmware with this...
There are so many ways of doing things these days, people need to get current and up to date not only with updates, but also with ways of getting around problems of spam.
How many more times can i explain this, the ONLY foolproof model, is to charge per email sent, even if it is.01 of a cent, this will force not only the bad guys to spend money, and leave a paper trail for those using their own servers..which will then tend to up the bids and make alot less sense to use spam to send advertising per capital.
This would also be a quick sure way to let someone know they have been compromised, they could have a first offense 100$ cap for emails sent from their PCs, then 500$ cap for second offense (for those that are too cheap to fix their virus ridden computers) and then 3rd strike full price.
This would also allow ISPs to track see who sends millions of email from their home PCs, as a home profit scam. This send an email..pay to send it...system, can and will be a great way to generate even more money, because who will reinstall windows for those people who have been badly overrun with malware, bestbuy computer guy that's who....
