Umm... most distributions of Linux and FreeBSD do in fact make it easy to download other browsers. You won't hear me condoning Apple business practices wrt bundling Safari, but since they are not a convicted monopolist they probably will not need to worry about this.
Well, in a case when you need to know the length, you have to use strict evaluation (sort of- I'm simplifying), in which case Haskell is reducing to what "normal languages" do. In the case where you do not need the length, you get the benefits of laziness.
Sounds to me like you're trying to redefine "user interface" to mean "things important to the user." I think- using your car analogy- "specs" would generally include breaking distance, MPG, air conditioning, top speed, etc, whereas user interface would include color, steering wheel design, buttons available on the radio, and perhaps something like automatic climate control.
I think if you consider it that way, most people care a hell of a lot about the specs of the car. Same thing with a phone: people care about reception, memory, megapixels on the camera, web surfing, etc. User interface is important, but to imply that it's more important than the specs is pushing it.
Yes. Did you miss the big scrolling letters running across the screen? The odd thing about Scientology is although that is what they believe, Scientologists are only told it after they have spent an awful lot of time and money on Scientology.

Cockroaches outnumber humans by a rather incredible margin. Which do you think is superior?
Depends on the human.
Suddenly even Myspace sounds like a real option for the first time since puberty,
Two weeks ago.

Legal definition != dictionary definition. See Sherman anti-trust laws.

Well, in this case the "infinite stream" is really a stream of indefinite size. However, you can treat it as being infinite.
Is the point of the big boobs to work sort of like air bags in case she trips again?
I'm 23 and play Pokemon you insensitive clod.
I guess not even a supercomputer could run Vista properly...
I believe we call that a chicken-and-egg scenario

I think this post sums up the term "fanboi" nicely.
I think his question is "Why hasn't it caught on on the manufacturing side to make a tablet that Just Worked(tm)?"
Actually, you just made me think of "ZOMG ZOMBIES"
In Soviet Scientology, meme +1 Funny you!
(Do I get mod points now?)

Eh, what the hell...I'll do it.
Apparently not...
Why does everyone assume the Z will be Zebra? What about the Zorillas?
Don't worry, Apple said that they were deprecating Carbon, so Apple Fanbois are safe.
the iPod wasn't exactly the first mp3 player to be released anyway, just the first successful one in marketing and generating hype
There, fixed that for you.
There, fixed that for you.
I think the no-derivatives was only on the comic strip, not the browser itself.
Whoosh
I'm not going to take advice from someone who doesn't know that "douche nugget" is two words, you illiterate douche nugget.
Actually, if it's Perl, then it should be:
connection.drop() if $hostname eq "slashdot.org";
