Google has been doing the news.google.com for quite some time now and adding it as an extra tab has now allowed me less pain of having to click another link and retype my search.

Now I only hope they put it into thier google toolbar.

On another subject. Before news.google.com I used exclusively ThePaperboy. I still do although not as much. But unlike paperboy google is more a portal to news, which in itself allows the url's to appear to be more subjective. Certainly something Psyops would like to play with.

Don't get me wrong its a great site but nearly all news sites are biased (truth is subjective), the secret is to read both sides and form an opinion between the two. When you control the portal though it allows you to slant your other side of the argument.

    2000AD comics.

It's about a superhero who couldn't give a toss about saving the world.

One point in the story line was that there were multiple universes. In one of these universes it was all populated with superheros and only one normal person, who was being pestered the heck out of.

In a world where everyone wants to be a hero, who plays the normal people?

One of the things, well really the only thing that makes MMORPG's is the human element. I think this alone is what may stunt the growth of such games. If all the normal characters are NPC's then there are no worries about secret identitys and a lot of players will treat the NPC's as fog of war.

By the way, anyone who can't wait until 2005 I recommend you check out City of Heroes which plans to Beta test in early 2003 and has some nice movies of the gameplay. They also have a very indepth FAQ (Geek level :)

unlike the "Real World" hacker (who I thought was an idiot at first:), least he was able to denounce the negitive press with constructive answers to questions posed to him.

Basically with the old money system (base 12) you could divide a bill for a meal between multiple numbers of people easily. with Metric Base 10 your are all left fighting over who ordered the extra rolls. :)

Think the system was based on your fingers, but you can count in base 12 (or base 13) on your fingers if you use the three parts of each finger as one unit. If we had an extra finger we could do base 16 :)

Command Recog on the other hand is a heck of a lot better. Check out Game Commander. This has to be one of the best I've seen so far. I use this with Tribes which has 50-60 key combinations all preprogrammed into it, so for example I just say "Eject!" and game screams "Hit the Deck!" and ejects me out of the ship I'm flying or I say "Preload one" when I'm in an Inv Station and it loads up set one favorites then kicks me out of the inv station.

The level of training this required was 0%

But... voice while is all fine and dandy is no good if you get background noise.
