The constitution delegates specific powers to the federal government, and reserves everything else for the state governments.

So anything not explicitly listed as under federal domain, they cannot do? What about homeland security? Was it in the Constitution that the feds can wiretap peoples homes? I doubt it. So that means each state decided wiretapping? What about deciding where citizens can and cannot travel to, or setting up the FAA? I doubt all these are explicitly listed.

First you stated the word 'engineer' is not protected, it clearly is. There is a whole world out there beyond your direct knowledge and just because you think it is so doesn't mean it is.

So does an MCSE require a PE license?

This has been contested in court. the MSCE is a title and is outside regulation. If an MSCE were to advertise themselves simply as an Engineer, then they would be violating the law.

IT is not regulated and those rules/laws/certs don't apply to Systems Engineers, Microsoft Engineers, Cisco Engineers, Building Engineers, etc.

Depends where you are. System Engineering and Software Engineering are defined disciplines in Engineering that you can get a degree and a licence in (I am a registered Systems Engineer). Therefore these labels are protected. Any label not protected (like Cisco Engineer or Microsoft Engineer\) is free to use as long as they do not claim they are a Professional Engineer - i.e. they have the keep the phrase together.

IT is still new for regulation so some areas do not protect these titles.

My point, and most others on this site, is that pretty much anyone can (legally) call themselves an engineer without facing any consequences from the law. Whether you feel they can call themselves an engineer or not is moot and a subjective point.

    Clearly untrue.

Why? The government is not involved and it means they cannot be *bought* by the advertisers which you see so much of in the US.

A set of newspapers owned by a person, whom apparently wants to be a politician, is not good.

Until that person actually becomes a politician at which point he will have to separate himself from his business then nothing can be done. You prefer a president that is heavily invested in oil and gives ridiculous perks to his friends in the oil industry (who incidentally made a lot of money off of a bullshit war)?

There's a lot of things the federal government could theoretically do more efficiently than having each state roll their own but the federal government isn't empowered to do it for some reason...

Because people stupidly think the local yokel they vote in to local government who has no education somehow represents the local interests better, and whatever those idiots do in *other* states can't possibly apply to my state since we're so much better and different than they are. I would say the opposite - countries with little or no gun control laws typically also have freedom repressed. Look at Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan.
