Funny, if you switch "conservative" for "liberal" or even maybe "liberals and moderates" in your statement you get a pretty insitefull comment

Hardly a straw man since you set your wife up in this spot (and maybe go try to answer some of my other far more insightful posts to you rather than focus on this incredibly minor one).

To be honest, I could care less about your wife since I'm talking to you which I felt I made clear when I said "Not that I think your wife is some sort of divine arbiter for all things women mind you. In fact I thought it was funny you basically said "Not-uh I asked my wife" as if that has some sort of major influence in the world." In another post to you.

This "3rd wave" feminism is the extreme crazy fringe virtually every movement has. They've been there since the beginning and they are no more indicative of the broader movement than people showing up at Tea Party rallies flying racist Obama banners.

In regards to people who want to latch on to what feminism's fringe movement is saying to redefine the word (It's stupid the number of Right wing females I've heard say "Now I'm not a feminist but (insert feminism)" they seem to fall into two categories as far as I've seen. The minority of them I feel just don't want female equality while the majority of them seem to just want something to be outraged about and what's easier to be outraged at then some fringe feminist who also wants to be outraged by everything.

Basically this shit is stupid internet drama for people who want drama. The shit both sides rail on about that I've seen is crap in terms of broad context.

What's with the "actual" before alt-righters and not SJW? I've had plenty of posts on slashdot lately where I've posted a comment about something sexists and rather than refute my points I've gotten knuckle draggers going "OH, SO WOMEN NEED PROTECTION, I THOUGHT THEY WERE EQUAL" when all I literally said was that something was sexist with absolutely no mention of needing to censor others or "protect women". Said comments seem to be the fashionable "wisdom" of the alt-right currently when confronted with any issue with women they don't like.

Is this the new alt-right thing? You can't call anything sexists because then you're saying women have to be protected which means you're undermining them?

I ask because I've seen this "thought" pop up a lot lately whenever some one suggests something is sexist.

Just a heads up, calling something or someone sexist doesn't equal, "women need to be protected". Thinking women shouldn't have to deal with sexism is not at all the same as thinking they can't handle themselves when confronted with it.

Russia has been engaged in highly substantial cyber warfare against Western targets for a number of years now (their involvement in the US election is just the tip of a very big iceberg). At long last they're getting a taste of their own medicine.

Regaurdless of all this, Trump refuting the substance of what she was saying by saying she was on the rag is sexist because he deflected what she was saying with a gender issue. He's undermining what she said, not by addressing what she said (which is how reasonable people talk to others) but by suggesting she was just having female issues, a claim he doesnt even have any evidence for.

It's also problematic to suggest a world class female professonal cant handle basic bodily functions that she has been dealing with since childhood. If her judgement became so poor she couldnt do her job every time she had her period she wouldnt be where she is today.
