Hey I resemble that remark. Maybe you can explain why multitasking in iOS4 requires cooperation from the application? On my openmoko the window manager (illume) takes care of it, just as in gnome and fvwm (and the equivalents in windows and macos).
Maybe their validation staff have small fingers. More likely testing was done with the device flat on a bench with people checking boxes to verify correct display on the screen.
I see this all the time in my work. Our system just isn't used in the same way it is tested.
I suspect they placed the antenna there to minimize the amount of RF energy exposure to the brain but now you'll have to be careful about how you hold it.
My openmoko has the GSM antenna at the bottom of the phone as you describe, but its inside the plastic case.
Of course, apple could have easily designed the phone with with a some plastic along the side, but this would go against their aesthetic "vision". Anyone who has used an Apple mouse (*any* Apple mouse) knows that ergonomics takes a back-seat to physical appearance. Always.
Even then I fail to see why the internal antenna has to be electrically connected to part of the external case. They could just have something which gives them the right look. This is a bizarre screwup.
I can walk right into the electorate office of my local member of parliament and tell them what I think of their Government. This is a person who deals directly with the Prime Minister when parliament is sitting. The US president does not deal directly with members of congress in the same way.
My contention is that the Australian system gives people more direct involvement in government.
Lindsay Tanner announced his retirement right after the new PM got in. That tells me the election will be sooner rather than later. Internet filtering is the main issue of interest to/. so I propose we get organized and attack Stephen Conroy.
Lets all put Conroy last. Copy my sig. Spread the word. Send a message to Gillard on this subject.
Wikipedia says that the longest economic power transmission line is 7000km but various sites give a distance of about 3000km from Algeria to London. Crossing the Mediterranean at high voltage will be a challenge but I don't see it as being impossible.
There are challenges though. Some Saudi engineers I worked for discussed the difficulty of installing radars on sand. Unless you go very deep for your foundation there is nothing solid to fix too. Then you have sandstorms. They can physically attack structures and bury solar cells.
On the other hand there is a convenient source of silicon right on site...
The system you favour inevitably leads to a two party system with conservative policies. That may be okay if you like the status quo, but life generally requires adapting to new conditions and the first past the post system does not encourage new candidates who will propose genuine change.
And yet we still have to choose between Rudd and Abbot. Don't get me wrong, its good that we have a few minor parties there but preferential voting won't break us out of the two party system.
I think its also a marketing problem. Ford vs Holden, Coke vs Pepsi, Nokia vs Apple.
But with STV your vote only ever goes to one candidate. Its just a way of saying I want candidate C to win but if it comes down to A and B then I choose B. In this scenario B gets your vote.
rabid Android contingent

Can a blimp propelled entirely by solar power cross the English Channel?
Well not in winter obviously
Extrapolation is a dangerous and deceptive marketing strategy. If it is supposed to last 100 years, they should test it that long.
Nobody is going to sue in 100 years anyway...
I will.
Steven "fuckwit" Conroy
Thats Stephen "fuckwit" Conroy thanks.

I don't believe she has any "young"
I am certain that she can kick like a Kangaroo though.
Parliament elected Kevin Rudd to be PM. The people only had an indirect say. And the GG gets a veto anyway.
Sorry, can't do that. I always put Family First members last. Can put Conroy second last though.
Yeah I know its hard to decide who to put last. There are so many contenders. Thanks for your support!

Obviously the BASIC example is not infinite, because energy is finite.
I'd count an infinite loop as a bug...
All of my microcontroller programs have infinite loops.

We could always send them off on the "B" Ark, and tell them that a giant space goat was about to eat the Earth...
No.... thats how we got into this situation in the first place.
I know someone that works for a company that sends these letters. She's a moron.
If we didn't have jobs for morons to do the rest of us would have to support them with welfare.
Based on the cost of private health care here in Australia I reckon I would be better off investing the money and paying for health care in cash.
(in 99.9% of cases anyway).
I read Slashdot via repeating telegraph, you insensitive clod!
I prefer the semaphore. Its hard on the arms but the message gets through!

In Australia we use a similar system: preferential voting.

If anyone can cast the votes he wants how can you be right about how many people have voted.
Count the ballot papers.
