How I heard the story:
When Apple announced the iphone, Nokia started negotiations with Apple and asked them to pay the same patent fee as everyone else in cell phone business. Apple did not want to pay. One year after the release of IPhone Apple still didn't agree to pay. As Nokia noticed some of Apples UI multi-touch patents were quite good, Nokia said ok, give us right to use your patents instead. Apple said no. Nokia sued Apple as they have been using Nokia patented technologies for years and haven't paid Nokia a dime. Now Apple is trying to twist story that Nokia is just after their patents. That is a lie. Nokia offered Apple same as everyone else from the start.
> 2) Apple isn't trying to get favoured rates, they're trying to get the same rates as everyone else as dictated by RAND terms.
Well why doesn't Apple join RAND then first? You have to be member to get RAND prices. Why should apple get the benefits without being a member?
I installed to a company of similar size F-Secure Anti-Virus Small Business Suite. The business suite is quite cheap for a full AV-solution and includes a Central Management Tool that is available also for Linux. So basically you can control/update the windows av-clients from the Linux server if you like.
I have heard no complaints from the customer yet.
I you really want to know what Pirate Party is about check Rick Falkwinges tech talk at Google HQ in 2007. Very interesting, and he exposes many flaws with current copyright laws.
Obviously millions of users agree with Slashdot. Can millions of downloaders be wrong? In the end the users are the ones doing it, NOT the torrent sites. And for your information, copyright infringement happened before torrents. Additionally in Finland (where I live) we have a private copying remuneration system, so I have already paid for my downloads: http://www.hyvitysmaksu.fi/Teosto/hymysivut.nsf/wpages/index_en.html
Would the lawyer by doing this do this be incriminating himself in front of a judge!?
Still Pirate bay did nothing but showed again where files are available. The lawyer would be the one downloading and sharing the file. And the peers would be the one distributing it. Also the defense could just demonstrate the same using Google.
Nokias internet tablets are ok but I like more their Commnicator phones. Nokia has had this mini-"laptop" since 1996 (and it is also a phone). Check their communicator series, the latest being Nokia E90. Unfortunately it's quite expensive.
As there are 10 million to 10 trillion stars in one galaxy and probably over 100 billion galaxies, it doesn't have to be that common and yet there would/could be millions of solar systems similar as our. Of course finding one close to our planet could be bit harder then expected before.
The Nokia E90 is almost like a N810 with phone functions.
It has Wi-Fi, 3G, GPS, bluethooth, big screen, full qwwerty-keyboard (with number-row) actually everything you expect from a top-notch phone.
On downside it's not Linux, it uses symbian 9.2. But you can install putty ssh on it so you can then connect to your linux box;)
The criticized 2005 amendment to the Finnish Copyright Act and Penal Code was passed in 2005. According to it: "Circumventing copy prevention measures (i.e. DRM) to copy a work is prohibited." Practically these guys wanted to test the law in court, hoping it would fail.
About the script and actors.

The biggest complaints about their zero-budget movie Star Wreck were the script and the acting. This time I'm sure it's better as they have an awarded writer (Johanna Sinisalo) doing the script (2 years already, since they announced the movie) They will also use real hired actors instead of amateurs.
The reason he included his own username and password, was that he sent the passwords through his own account so that the user wouldn't notice the mail in the outbox. So this definitely looks malicious. Why else would he like to send the data through his own account?
I'm not surprised that F-secure did so well in behavioural blocking test, F-Secure Deepguard is amazing in recognizing malware application behavior even if it's not a know virus. Truly a nice advancement in virus prevention. Let's hope the competition gets as good as well.
Actually best prior art to this patent is AmigaOS Workbench (released 1985).
"A unique feature of Workbench is multiple screens. These are conceptually similar to X Window System virtual desktops or workspaces, but are generated dynamically by application programs as necessary. Each screen can have a different resolution and color depth. A gadget in the top-right corner of the screen allows screens to be cycled..."
Actually Russia had (or was to make) a oli deal with Saddam. That's why USA attacked in a hurry. Like it or not, there are many indicators pointing that that USA attaked mainly for oli. Points both before the war and now at Iraq "rebuilding" phase. E.g. now a board has been created to handle the oilfields in Iraq that consits of executives in various oli companies, needless to say they were not picked by Iraq government (and very few news sites has reported this at all).
In March 2009, Google purchased the Summa Mill from Finnish paper company Stora Enso and converted the 60 year old paper mill into a data center.

Especially when Apple is not part of RAND and therefore Nokia has no obligation to give Apple their patents for RAND prices.
Yes, that is true. Apple is not part of RAND, so RAND term do not apply to them.

Actually there has been a Nokia phone with full qwerty-keyboard (and number-row) since 1996: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nokia_Communicator
For full qwerty-keyboard with number-row and excellent wide-screen there is Nokia E90 and the older (but cheaper) Nokia 9300i too.
