Surely if the cable was already conductive the issue of mass would be non-existent. I guess it depends on the properties of the magical cable that will make all this work.
It is only a priority relative to your own pages. So I guess you could say it is very arbitrary but it is only used as a hint to show how the site owner would prefer his content to be spidered. If you had 10 million pages on your website but there were a few hundred you really wanted the spiders to be interested in then you would assign them a higher priority in your sitemap. It is relative to your own site only so it's ok that it works that way I think.

Fair enough. I know the site looks like crap so I can see why you might have come to the conclusion you did. Truth is I'm a coder not a designer, I can't build anything that looks good but the whole site took about 2 hours to build in rails and I'm just kinda impressed at how easy ruby/rails makes building a db driven website.
Cheers.

I assume you are accusing me of lying about the site being ruby/rails based?
It's hosted on their cheapest dedicated server ($59), running freebsd, apache with fast-cgi and ruby / rails.
Wasn't really interested in getting involved in a flame war.
Best to be sure of your facts before calling someone a liar.
You are however entitled to your opinion. Truth is I'm really enjoying playing with ruby/rails.

I only became aware of Ruby and Rails a few short weeks ago. Since then I have already built my first Ruby/Rails website http://www.f1newstoday.com/ and it was the most enjoyable experience I've had for some time. The site seems to perform well so far and developing it with Rails was very very quick and easy.
Sure, It's a shameless plug for my site but I'm just so jazzed about Ruby and Rails lately I just had to share.
It certainly would be handy. I suspect that as even skilled human translators can mess things up at times that expecting any kind of automated system to produce good results will be an accomplishment indeed!
Anytime we get wider acceptance of platforms other than Microsoft it is a good thing. It's not that I'm anti-microsoft so much as I prefer to have choices when it comes to computing platforms. Any effort made by companies to support more than just microsoft properly is a good thing in my books.
There are up to 4.2m CCTV cameras in Britain - about one for every 14 people.
With that many cameras one can imagine it must be fairly difficult to venture out in public without being "ON CAMERA".
I'm really not sure how I feel about that. On the one hand it might prevent some crime, on the other it certainly makes one feel like their privacy is in doubt. I guess it's only gonna be a real problem when they start installing them in your home.
Life exisiting in enviroments we consider extreem is not unlikely. While it is true that extreem cold may slow evolution due to the slower life processes that may be insignificant if the life form has been around long enough.

Paper ballots... you can count them... You can check them, you can verify them.
Computer Ballots don't leave the average Joe with any sense that they can be verified.
Too much potential for problems with Electronic voting from a voter perception perspective.
I like putting my little X on the ballot.
I would have to agree. As long as they don't actively block services of their competitors. I'm no huge fan of Microsoft and they do tend to make it somewhat less than easy for their competition but in the end, if you offer a better product people are going to use it. There is a reason Google does so well and it is because their product (search) works well. I don't think they have much to fear from microsoft at this point.
I Agree. I just want a simple phone with decent standby time and excellent reception. I don't need a camera or an MP3 player or a web browser. I just want a phone... seriously.
Perhaps the stats are not worth crap, but it certainly shows a trend.
I for one welcome anything that provides a choice, especially when it comes to microsofts dominance.
I'm not a member of the "Microsoft is evil" club but I do think that their market share is certainly not based on the merits of their quality products.

Why would you not just use the cable itself to transfer the power rather than a complicated laser system?
Over 4 million PS2's sold in the US alone last year. I think that answers the question of will people buy a 9 year-old console.

It is. Unfortunatly, to build solar cells you need crystalline silicon. These crystals have to be carefully grown and are quite expensive to produce.

Step 1: Get fans to promote us
Step 2: Allow viral marketing to create a demand for our product
Step 3: Sue the people from step 1
Step 4: Profit!
This has to be the most cynical thing I've ever seen.
