(well "Fire" MS Internet Explorer and Outlook, that is).
We've got a router with a built in firewall. on top of that we have ZoneAlarm on both computers on the network.
As stated previously, we run Firefox (not IE). Oh and Norton AntiVirus which hasn't found any virus/Trojan activity in ages (thanks in part to ridding myself of IE and Outlook). I have it set to to auto-update AV definitions.
That and I'm careful and just don't get that much "junk" (i.e. infected emails).
Yep that it can. I did it once or twice a while back. But I still prefer a dedicated FTP client. I've used a variety of them. Right now my client of choice is Filezilla.
Are your sure they've not switched to Winblows w/IIS? Many features in Yahoo! Mail are only available to Internet Explorer users (which I find very odd).
I'd have sworn you could upload files with Netscape in a manner similar to that of IE. I'd assumed Firefox and Mozilla had the same capabilities. Personally I'd always found uploading via a web browser rather clunky anyway.
For any serious ftp, I've always preferred a dedicated FTP client.
The shrub is the worst president we've had since Nixon. Actually, he's worse than Nixon.
Your local dog catcher would be a better President. In fact any of the Republicans running against the Shrub 4 1/2 years ago would have made a better President.
But no, gets the nod? The least-experienced, most incompetent one of the Bunch and we've paid dearly for it.
And you want more of this bullshit?
The U.S. was by no means "powerless" under Clinton and would not be "powerless" Kerry. Kinder and gentler (to quote the Shrub's daddy) but by no means powerless.
Right now we just come across as arrogant assholes. And that's not good.
My only qualm with it is far as torrents are concerned is you don't get the statistical data you get with a client like Azureus - BitTorrent Client or G3 Torrent.
But it is a nice "all in one" app. If only overnet weren't so freakin slooooooooooow.
Zonealarm is my firewall. I told it to recognize my eDonkey client (Shareaza) and it did. I have a broadband connection (up to 4MB/s download). The download speeds I get on the eDonkey network are equivilant to my old dialup connection. I don't knwo what's up with it, but Kazaa is much faster. I can dowload a 600MB ISO in a few hours tops. On the eDonkey netowrk it takes a few days (or more). I had one take a week and it was only a 400MB MPEG file.
Thanks to "Trustworthy Computing" Microsoft won't be offering FC3 via the windows update mechanisim. Enterprisze users are free to download it from our Enterprise site, fedora.micsosloth.com
Did you "update" or upgrade?
You went from 0.9.1 to 0.10.1 and not from 0.10 to 0.10.1
If you updated then that's not a surprise. The update was only from 0.10 to 0.10.1
You'll need to download a fresh full version of 0.10.1, uninstall 0.10 and install 0.10.1
I had 0.10 and applied the 0.10.1 patch last night and everything (including the theme manager) is peachy.

I only download from reputable sites.
I was wondering when someone was gonna point out that Uncle$am has been slashdotted. LOL. The site was crawling before I posted this.
Around here anything goes. It just depends on the moods of the mods.

Funny, it works for me..
This is true, but then it is a simple, command-line FTP client.... ;-)

Actually Firefox is about starting with the bare essentials (no bloat) and then giving you the option of adding all the bloat you want.
:-)
I have a mere 72 extensions installed. And I love it.
I'm not a gamer. I suppose that's why I've "survived" with my 16MB nVidia TNT (From the old Diamond Multimedia - circa 1999).
:-)
It does what I need it to do. The rest of the computer sucks, but the Video card has been just fine.
Funny, I don't recall saying I want to negotiate with Terrorists.

I'm from the U.S. and couldn't agree more. I'm almost embarassed to say I'm from the U.S., actually.
I think Cyndi Lauper should have run. She'd be much better than the Shrub.
Come to think if it, who wouldn't be better?
According to Windows Task Manager Shareaza (on my computer) is presently utilizing 10,544K of RAM. That's nowhere close to 80MB.....
Right now I'm doing simultaneous uploads and downloads on the E2K network.
That's assuming one is wanting to obtain music files....

Sorry Charlie....
I use Shareaza to connect to overnet and the overwhelming majority of clients I see on the network are in fact, eMule.
That works in Shareaza also.

Yes and they also brought us the Original (Cassette) Walkman. And along with Phillips, developed the Compact Disc....
They have hits. They have misses.

Unless and until the Open Source Community comes out with a suitable replacement, I'll use it. :-)
You;'re not paying attention when you install AIM then. It's an option that you can uncheck.
