I don't know... with that asshole Bush in office, I wouldn't put it past the Military-Industrial Complex to do something like this. People are sheep and will probably accept it. Blah blah blah...
One small problem. PS3 will have a hard drive (or at least built in ability to add a hard drive and space for it), and the game will already run on the PS3, since you can play PS2 games on it.
So why would they take the time to add it to the XBox 360?
the time for a one cable hidef A/V connection has come!)
You're right. It's called HDMI. Go have fun on google. The only problem being that not many TVs have more than one input for it, and I have yet to find a switch or reciever that will take more than one. If anyone finds one, let me know.
What do you, play video games on your database server?
Actually, yes. I use it to serve web pages and for databases for development (although I generally am not running those apps while I'm playing a game).
Well, let's see.
Harddrives are RAID 10, so hitting all of them, not a problem. Using both video cards (which I don't have yet), since they are SLI, they are ALWAYS both being used, so not a problem. Using both DVD's, I do actually use them both at the same time (occasionally) just playing games (I want to listen to a CD I haven't ripped yet while playing the game).
Well, let's see. 4 sticks of RAM, 4 SATA HD's (can add up to 4 more and might soon), 1 CPU, 1 nVidia GeForce 6800 GT PCI-E (can take two cards running SLI though, which I'll prolly upgrade to soon, can only find specs on the Ultra which uses 110W peak), 1 sound card, 1 wireless card, 3 USB devices, 1 DVD RW, 1 DVD, 3 system fans. This puts me using 467 W at peak. So if I added another GeForce and four more HDs that would put me at 652W's peak. And this isn't even overclocking anything.
Actually according to Fortune's 100 Wealthiest people (I'm too lazy to find a link) he's actually given away something like 4-6 BILLION to charity. About half of his fortune. He may be a ruthless buisnessman but he definatly believes in giving something back.
That will never happen across the board. Libs believe that religious decisions have NO basis in ANY form of goverment (state or fed). They are for max personal freedom and basically believe in the "no harm, no foul" principle. ANYTHING between two consenting adults (or that an adult wants to do to themself) should be legal.
Constitutionist (very misapplied name) want everyone to be nice little Christians, and seek to circumvent the constitution about seperation of church and state by saying that it only applies to the federal goverment.
The trick isn't what language you know, it is knowing the languages you do know well, and knowing the theory. You can make as much programming in VB as you can in C++, as long as you are worthwhile (and even if you're not but know someone who can land you a cushy job)
Look at the numbers for the Athlon's. They used the same had the same specs, just changed out the chips. The Dual Cores ran under less load than the FX did.
Also, this is NOT the CEV that is going to be going to Mars. The Mars mission isn't until past 2020 and when that happens, the CEV will have been updated quite a bit.
And you believe this because the shuttles have been updated so much during their life spans?
Every rule has the exception. I know of a couple of people that just kind of wandered into doing analysis, even though they were good coders, but by and large I think most SAs don't have a clue.
I disagree. Engineers have egos just as bad as, if not worse than, techies. Having worked as a programmer in an Engineering firm I've seen it first hand.
NO ONE likes to be told their work was crap.
And perhaps he isn't pursuing a degree, simply keeping up with new things they teach. Generally it's much cheaper to do a college class a semester than to shell out the bucks for a week long class on a given language. Personally I'd rather just read a book than waste my time in class, but there are some classes that would be fun to take as a class.
Since I work for a Fortune 500 that gets shipped pallets of computers on almost a weekly basis, let me fill you in.
1) The people making the purchasing decisions generally are clueless and go with the path of least resistance. IE if you have a contract with Dell it is much easier to just keep that contract.
2) Dell does a pretty damn good job on their corp support.
3) The people making the purchasing decisions don't have a clue. They ALL know Intel. Of course if they bothered to ask their IT dept they might get some good input, but even then not neccessarily. A depressing number of "IT" people have no clue either.
4) Kickbacks. I'm not saying that my company takes kickbacks, but doubt not that those factor into some people's decisions.
We only have 5 programmers in my division of the company, and we are ALL looking for new jobs. The corp just doesn't realize that if you treat employees like shit, they'll leave. It's going to be fun too when I leave, I'm going to be pissing on the ashes of this bridge.

Wouldn't want to disappoint you.

You must be out of touch. A heavily modded computer can easily use 600 watts. My new one came with a 560 watt power supply that can peak at 650.

The danger for the free world is that Microsoft would like to make general purpose computers illegal except for (Microsoft) licensed developers.
Where are you getting this from? Please cite your source.
What kind of game machine has a PII CPU??
RAID is what you are looking for.

What real issues will this bill solve?

I've adapted an old saying the the tech biz. "Those who can, code. Those who can't become analyst/designers."

Some states it is 16, and I think there are couple where it is 15.
Ahh, I always wondered how one trolled. I feel better now.

Nope, that's what the TOP operator is for. That limits it to the numer or percent you supply.
