So when you get your MB (made in China), with a BIOS apparently coded in a rural part of China (have you seen BIOS lately?), and find it doesn't let you disable it...
What, exactly, is your recourse?
Coreboot is the only answer, and that's not going to happen while Microsoft (and probably Apple as well) isn't bankrupt.
A) they actually did any work whatsoever, or its non trivial work "one click", "round corner tablet device" B) they are willing to license the work at all, instead of suing me to an oblivion. C) that people should be rewarded from ideas, instead of the labor time they spent in implementing ideas.
A) "Getting back on topic, if your complaint about their patent is that it's overly broad, then we're back to the problem not being with the system, but how its enforced. That is a legitimate complaint, but it takes a different approach to get something done about it."... try reading more carefully.

C) Your opinion. Can't say much here. This is a valid discussion point.
Most of us start a sentence with a capital letter. Sure, he was foolish to put body text into the subject, but once you wrap your head around that and reassemble the sentence, you'll see that his capitalization is correct.
1. You are being racist. Saying you aren't doesn't change facts. 2. If you had looked at the story, you'd see photographically that all the involved people were white. Not only that, but they were well dressed.
Well, they will be holding a patent on it soon, because it's step #1 in pounding sand...
We downmod this shit because it's stupid, not because there's some conspiracy.
Starsiege is not new, nor does it use voxels.
I don't care. They are throwing software patents around and should be scourged into nonexistance.
Wow. Trolls, even.
I know you're joking, but one way to make certain the tolls learn...
Corporations are not people, they are not individuals.
Sorry, thanks for playing.
As a matter of fact, police are required to regularly practice. If they do not, they get in trouble for it and shit on by their peers.
... nevermind, my brain decided to make me look foolish. I'm thinking of elsewhere.
Vienna? Really? That place is falling apart.
At least it was back around 2002 when I was there.
Fuck Metro, and fuck Windows 8.
Wow. Well, oops.
ARM has nothing to do with this.
You might want to go back and:
1. Read my post
2. Contemplate on what you just read.

You say that like they cannot possibly be the same thing.
PC these days doesn't mean x86-based.
Of course, the salesdroids would point the finger squarely at ARM, should the sales numbers not measure up.
Voting with your wallet only works correctly if the fallout falls in the right place.
Would you say that if you couldn't see at all?

You know those moments where you say something you think is funny, and everyone just stares at you instead (in shock or utter disbelief)?
This is one of those moments.
So, here's the question:
Did your girlfriend stop you hacking, or did something else stop your hacking and the increased social interaction landed you the girlfriend?
Literally. You might want to specify that...
No, it was not correct. The correct moderation for an off-topic post is.... drumroll please..... OFF-TOPIC.
Troll is not off-topic is not flamebait is not overrated. They all have their use and they are not necessarily compatible or redundant..

It seems less like bitchiness to me than people writing shitty headlines to make it seem that way.
