Because you can hold a single company accountable, something that is very difficult to do to thousands upon thousands of individuals? (just ask the MPAA/RIAA and friends how 'easy' it is)
Erm, that argument doesn't fly here... because the -control- over the domain was seized away. It's not like it was just copied, like the whole "pirating != theft" argument has at it's heart.
Yea, either that or the THREE times I've been pulled over in the 7 years that I've been driving were: 1. Local police: (Clearwater, FL) Because I was actually going almost 30mph over the limit during rush hour (I was a new and stupid driver) 2. Highway Patrol: (FL) Because I had a headlight out on the highway, in foggy conditions, in the middle of nowhere ("hey, did you know..." / warning) 3. Local police (Norcross, GA) Because my out of state registration was very close to expiring, and he wanted to remind me of how it works in this state (no tickets etc, just a friendly "hey did you know...")
So, I think I'm qualified to say that "not driving like an idiot" is a very large part of not getting pulled over.
This is not x86. There's the hardware switch - then there is the routing CPU that has to handle all traffic going between LAN, WAN, and Wireless (if applicable). The only stuff that's I/O bound is LAN->LAN (over the switch) assuming it's simple traffic that doesn't go out the gateway (which is the routing CPU).
To complicate matters, the wireless is usually software defined - meaning CPU is dedicated to the radio signal generation/modulation (or at least directing the chip(s) doing so) - think winmodem, but less retarded.
"photo shop" is not "Photoshop" - one is a place where you work on photographs, the other is a product by Adobe.
Can't comment on xerography. Never heard of that term. Now, you can do photocopying, which is the correct non-buzzwordy term.
And yes, this IS trivial nitpicking. Which is why I replied to someone similarly nitpicking. It's a form of satire, if you will. It's a big pyramid of nitpicking all started by the AC nitpicking about 'shoop' and 'shop'...
Well, if you got pulled over and are being subjected to all this, you did something wrong. Well, something to attract their suspicion that you're intoxicated at least... so you could try not driving like you are.
Yea, the userdir really makes you feel warm and safe about the URL.

should be -> are :)
(spoken as someone in the industry)
The difference is that Ford doesn't head up a cabal of auto makers that hand out outragious fines to those who handle said cars insecurely.
Here, since you obviously don't realize what PCI means in this context.
No, gold is not one of the decay products of uranium. Lead, however, most certainly is. read.
Yea, doing a wonderful job of it so far... just like we're taking care of these budget problems quickly over here!
I like your idea :D

This isn't a beam though. From my impression it's low gain.

Well, I get all that. The whole idea was in jest. Suppose I could have made that more obvious.
Um, all of the routing? You know, the stuff that a router does?
Well, yea. It would be messy and annoying the first few times it happened... but I strongly suspect it would stop happening...
Good call, yea. I think most people over here wouldn't know the term either.
Nowhere did I make any of those mistakes, except for the extra 'n' in Canon. I will give you that one.
For the other two? Kiss my fucking ass, AC.
Yea, and for most of humanity people routinely died before they hit 30. Clearly, that's the better option...
The whole term is dumb. You don't photoshop something in GIMP, for instance... just like you don't xerox on a Cannon.
Hehe, oh yes we do...
Though, they do take too long to actually deploy. Work on that... and I think we have an answer...
Most, if not all, places give you the right to refuse the field test in favor of a blood test.
More inconvenient, yes... but I think I like the accuracy of the blood test far more than that of the aforementioned "sobriety" test.
Hell of a turnaround. Detection to verdict in 1.5 seconds!
I think deploying a bollard in the path of the potential light runner will get the message across.... CRUNCH!
Which, if you read the fucking summary, is exactly what is being asked.
