The short of it is that there is evidence that they were soliciting "cyber attacks" as a service, which is a complete departure from what Security Firms up to this point do (protect from said attacks, etc). Defensive to offensive.

Whether or not he chose to acknowledge it as the source of his decision has no bearing on what was actually the deciding factor.

Come on, man. Judges aren't fucking machines. They are people, and they want to keep their jobs/reputations.

The judge's statements are carefully worded to maximize ass-covering.

It could have played a HUGE factor in his decision. Why would he admit that, and open a very nasty can of worms that he would then have to deal with?

Don't forget - it was hardly the only thing influencing his decision.

Unless you have some kind of training, you should NEVER attempt to move an accident victim unless they are at risk already (ie the car is burning, or fuel is pooling). There's a reason paramedics are so careful with their neck/spine as they move them, and put braces on ASAP regardless of how minor it appears to be. The next time you have the chance, ask a paramedic about this.

DISCLAIMER: I have responded to several accidents that I have witnessed. My actions were limited to keeping other people from fucking it up, calling 911, keeping the victims focused on myself etc.

Note that this shouldn't stop you from putting pressure on wounds etc - just don't be trying to pull people from wrecks unless you HAVE to do so.
