    Yea, you did actually. The burgers were excellent.

    Nah, I'm just kidding. Don't you think it would be hard to assemble anything made out of any kind of tube hundreds of miles long? It's far more feasable to do it out of smaller peices (like any other large and complex item we manufacture)

    The jury doesn't decide how much, they decide whether you are guilty or not. The Judge's job, other than to precide over the court, is to determine the sentence (in this case, the fines).

    I usually don't agree with reviews when I actually go see/play/ect whatever was revied. But I'm starting to worry about whether I should see this or not.

    For me, the big turn off is Marvin. That does NOT look like what I expected him to.

    So, should I suck it up and watch it, and risk being dissapointed and bored for 2 hours, or not? If I do enjoy it, I will probably end up loosing another week of my life reading the books again.

    At an EB somewhere in Kansas City, MO, I managed to get Homeworld, O.R.B. (http://tinyurl.com/a2u6w), Starlancer, and Mindrover for $20 total. None of them were used copies.

    Not crack, intercept!

    If you nab the data from either end without the parties knowing, you could crack it without them knowing.

    What you can't do without alerting the others, is intercept the message in transmission.

    Unfortunatly that tends to let one of the parties know that the message is intercepted. Half of the use of decrypting others messages is that they don't know you are doing it.

    OGG is floating point based, MP3 and other similar formats are integer based. This means that, unless they added enough extra processing power (unlikely), you would only be able to play back low bitrate OGGs (if at all). They would need to ship out new hardware to do it. They probably have a contract with whoever supplies the chips.

    I said what I said because everyone is running around screaming MP3 TAX! when it is not a tax on MP3s, it is more or less a tax on portable music players utilizing digital formats.

    Why the hell am I seeing Microsoft ads on slashdot? Those are really going to generate hits... most slashdotters hate ads, almost as much as they hate Microsoft (I'm generalizing, I know there are exceptions)

    Chances are you will need to use 32 bit compatibility mode. The source is available, so you can always just compile it yourself for 64 bit. Unless there is something really big between the two, I don't see why you would need to actually change anything. (but i've never used a 64 bit system, and I really don't know much about them)

    Am I the only one that sees the XP in windows XP as a disgusted smiley? The first time I saw the box (back when I was a windows only nut) that's what I saw. Think both eyes quinted shut with tounge sticking out.

    What is it supposed to stand for anyways?

    As the other reply states, protected PDFs. Also, since I am running adobe acrobat, why would I have any moral qualms about running a freeware program?

    I prefer my software to be Free (as in speech), but I am not so extreme as to demand it.

    Look for PDF Speed Up. Removes the nags, sets all the plugins to optional, turns off the splash screen, kills the ads in the corner, ect.

    Acrobat Reader 6.x opens very quick now, and I have yet to have it crash. (By quick I mean in under 3 seconds on my 900mhz, 512mb pc100 sdram win2k machine)
