However, if you were to then encode to a lossy format from it... you would most definitely get better quality output from the one that was originally lossless.
That's why I keep my stuff in flac - not necessarily because I want to listen to it in flac, but if i need to format shift for a particular device or whatnot, it just works better.
I think you're confusing the specific writings of specific people (almost all, if not actually all, of which was written before we had any kind of deep understanding of the world around us) with the actual messages, philosophies, and foundations of Faith. But I'm not going to argue with someone who wants to write 489 words without a single line break.
Smartass, in the US common vernacular for petrol is "gasoline" (which is the actual proper name for the thing anway) which is inevitably shortened to "gas."
No, the story says the Secret Service says the correct fuel was used... but an Israeli official is adamant that it was the incorrect fuel... and as the second link helps establish for you that it's known the limos are diesel...
I know who bill the cat was. But what is not clear, from that link or Gray's use of it, was if Gray was implying that a cat caused the disaster - which is most definitely not true.
I don't think an elemental gas counts as a "material."
Please define "best military" in this context.
So, you didn't read his comment at all did you? Just decided to go on an anti space-mining tirade because he mentioned it in a passing simile?
People call out Betteridge's because the editors/submitters need to stop using such a contentious headline format.
... and I'm hardly surprised. Mastercard has a stick up it's ass lately about that kind of thing.

My real point still stands. In no way does it's output reflect what their government is thinking. It only reflects what they desire us to see.
We already have rules covering the home team.
The commies are coming!
It's Joseph McCarthy all over again...
Excellent troubleshooting skills. ... that was sarcasm, btw.
Dear Slashdot:
I heard you could hide Ask Slashdot stories from my home page. Is this true?
That would be funny if "google" wasn't already a verb (in vernacular)

it provides great insight into how the Russian government is looking at the world.
No. What it does provide is great insight into how the Russian government wants it's people to look at the world.
Because most Westerners don't want them to become Westerners, we want them to have a say in what they choose.
I completely failed and managed to reply to myself instead of you. Just wanted to make sure you saw my reply.
No, it's not.
Note that "petrol" is gasoline. Petroleum is crude oil. Both are refinements of Petroleum - not one refined from the other.

"gas" is "gasoline" foreshortened, in the US, not just a reference to a state of matter.
No, the story says the Secret Service says the correct fuel was used... but an Israeli official is adamant that it was the incorrect fuel... and as the second link helps establish for you that it's known the limos are diesel...
"The correct gas was used." - diesel is not gas!
Erm... wow. Some selective memory on my part!
Because it wasn't?
Throughout my research, I learned that no one - literally, no one - has ever reported being injured by a Class IIIa/3R laser.
The important part here is reported. Who is going to admit that they damaged their vision after staring into a laser for 4 hours?
Not really.
What this study finds is that most laser pointers outright violate safety regulations that already exist.
