    Then let's assume that the streamed data is 96k MP3 or something else low quality. When you buy it, you get high quality (either lossless or a good lossy codec like LAME preset standard or Vorbis at q5+) files instead.

    The dots are cues for the projector guy to queue up the next reel. Movie reels can only contain like ~10 minutes of video, so movies take up a bunch of reels.

    You do know that Linux already has the drivers for the devices, right? Devices only ship with drivers for Windows due to its abysmal hardware support without 3rd-party drivers.

    Uh, they wouldn't own the copyrights because they wouldn't have any rights as an individual. All individual members of the newspaper would own their respective copyrights (or a real person within the company would at least).

    Considering how many Demonoid torrents end up on other torrent sites like Mininova, there's practically no way to avoid them (except for sites like The Pirate Bay who exclusively use their own tracker).

    Considering Google ignores Konqueror users (Konqueror's KHTML engine is nearly the same as Safari 2.0's WebKit engine; they're from the same codebase), and the fact that Opera used to identify as IE by default, I don't think they'll be able to offer meaningful statistics (nor can anyone for that matter).

    Have you ever tried writing C++ according to the standards? Visual Anything doesn't support it.

    And don't forget about Vista's virgin TCP/IP stack which seems to be fucking up some equipment already; they might be b0rking standards until SP1 as far as we can tell.

    Now I wouldn't say either of these things are malicious since they are easily explained by incompetence and PHBs...
