I've wanted an Aibo before I had a real dog. The cost was always just too steep. And the knock offs don't seem to be anything but just that. I hope that somebody picks up the ball on this project, so to speak, and gets the product down to a more reasonable price point. I think the market is there if you can get it down to the price of, lets say, a PS2 or an XBOX. And now the price will probably never go down on the used ones since there now will only be a finite amount.
But now I do wonder too...if somebody did try to create such a product would Sony start pulling out patents and IP laws to kill our fun now?
If my ISP wouldn't let me connect to google some day (or my work's ISP)...we'd be on another the next day. I'm not on any of the aforementioned ones, but if I was I'd start thinking about doing it any way.

I don't think that Hip Hop is negative. It never was when we were growing up.
Unless things have changed the description of Gangsta Rap and Thug Life would be "hardcore" rap...not hip hop. Let me differentiate.
Hip hop can be negative, but in that vein it usually is meant to motivate you to get by the tough times. Most of it is just for partying or being silly. This might have changed but real hip hop back in the day would be Slick Rick, Erik B and Rakim; etc. Gangsta Rap would be NWA, Public Enemy; etc. Sometimes it's tough to differentiate between the two...I've listened to rap and hip hop since those guys were popular though, so I'd like to think that I have some idea of what I'm talking about. I'm not saying it's my favorite music, especially with all of the thug crap coming out now.
I feel like Mike Bolton from Office Space even talking about it.
I wanted to do something like this about a year ago, but I was concerned that the temperature would sear the fish so I just ended up getting this:

It's worked out pretty well. One of the fish lost an eyeball, but otherwise I've had satisfactory performance. You can't tell very well from their demo picture but the tails move and they do look fairly realistic. Some folks have actually thought they were real! And better yet, I don't have to worry about rolly poley fish heads or excriment either.
I use bob@bob.bob and if that doesn't work bob@bob.com. I'm not even named bob...but I figured that if it was a human trying to spam me they might actually be stupid enough to waste their time on the address and it can be typed in fairly quickly.
