    Not necessarily, I've seen a lot of people buy new computers because "the old one was so slow". What they didn't realize that their new computer will be just as slow as the previous one after they've loaded it up with lots of third-party nonsense and malware.

    Although I share your contempt for the chip manufacturers, I really don't think that's the way things work. Why sell something advanced that's been underclocked when you can also sell something cheaper? Also, why sell something that's in the same league as the competition's product, when you have something far better in stock that outperforms it by leaps and bounds?

    The national Dutch (the Netherlands) minister of immigration, known by many for her harsh policies (immigrants are locked up in detention ships, sent away to countries where they will face punishment that is in violation with human rights, etc.) came to cafe to record a t.v.-debate. However, she refused to come earlier if she had to discuss with policians from any opposing parties, creating a single-sided debate. About twenty people went there to demonstrate outside with signs and percussive instruments.
