So according to this article the warmer parts of my body (spleen, lungs) will be spared, but my little soldiers will have to bear the brunt of the attack.
Awesome. Idea.
Oh come on now... You read/.
Its not like your little soldiers have anything better to do...
Based on every other product Apple has ever produced, a game console from them would be sleek, stylish, cost in excess of $900.00 (us), have only 3 titles available(each of which would require you to repurchase the title when a patch came out), and a controller with only button. Of course it would have an alternate means to use the button, but it would require you to press the option button on the console itself while trying to press the controller button.
All this talk about locking down Linux... While this is a great topic for/. people seem to have forgotten the most important point...

Just start every filename with a . and they'd really be lost!
Permissions are soooo Microsofty.
You apparently don't run any servers either. Just because someone uses NAT does not mean they cannot run a server. If you have a web server in your home and your ISP assigns you a public IP address, your modem (DSL) or modem and router (Most Cable) simply utilizes PORT FORWARDING. If its a standard web server, you simply direct port 80 to the internal NAT address of your server (ie 192.168.0.100, or 10.0.0.10, or whatever...)and voila. FTP? Use 20/21. Not too complicated.
I hope you bit your tounge a bit after a croc statement like that! To this day, I think my favorite Abit board was their BP6... Ahh, remembering when I had dual celerys when it wasn't supposed to be possible. And 400Mhz O/C'd to 600Mhz at that! Of course I don't miss that tower that sounded like a 747 taxiing for takeoff...
Ok, now I realize this may be modded a troll or flamebait, but from a moral perspective it simply must be said.
LOL! Whoops, right?
For the confused... our brainiac friend here posted in the wrong article. How fucking dumb do you have to be to do that? And not only that, he replied to another post, instead of posting at the top level. So he was sitting there, writing out his message and feeling all yummy about himself, while the post he was REPLYING TO was right there above it, STARING HIM IN THE FACE:
Hmmm... sounds like most of the Dr. Who companions.
He actually responded to this. To THIS. With what he thought was an intelligent post. Ha ha. He was wrong about that.
YOUR OPINION IS NOW WORTHLESS, AND YOU ARE A FOE, ALAIN94040. For fucking SHAME.
I realize this is/. and just from our very nature, we tend to score lower in the social graces (just ask our girlfriends, wives, or anyone we made an attempt at becoming one to confirm this) however it just doesn't condone the attitudes and actions of some people. To go on a total rant over something as lame as posting in the wrong spot? You really need to up your Prozac prescription. And to top it off, you didn't have the decency to log in. This in and of itself (to quote another poster...) makes YOUR OPINION WORTHLESS.
Oh... BTW... Merry Christmas you foul mouthed asshole
Isn't it possible to charge companies such as the RIAA, the Copyright Royalty board, and the like with some form of antitrust? I mean, I know we all love to hate Micro$haft but doesn't it seam that these others are much more dangerous to life and technology as we know it? At least as lousy as MS is, at least they tend to encourage the advancement of technology, whereas if the RIAA had their way, we'd all be paying $50 each time we played a 45 (for you newbs... thats vinyl), because owning CDs and/or analog to digital converters would be illegal.
Absolutely!!!
There is an old saying that my dad used, and I use it still today. "Give your kids enough rope to run with but not enough to hang themselves."
You have to give your kids the ability to do what they want, so they can learn for themselves, but at the same time you need to protect them from MAJOR issues until they are old enough to think for themselves. If you hover too closely, yes, there will be resentment, but if you don't hover at all, you have no way of knowing when to intervene.
"Living in their back pocket" would be doing things such as being a chaperone, calling them every 15 minutes, following them around, etc... Lojack or GPS, etc, is not being too close. It allows a parent to give their children extra freedom while still giving the parent insight to verify if the child is doing what they say they are and wether they are capable of handling additional trust or not.
Parents who let their children run around blindly are either fools, or their Give-a-shit-o-meter is broken. The way many children of this generation, and my own (I'm 35 in case you're wondering), have turned out, I'm a firm believer that the government should require licensing to procreate. No license, means no government assistance should you be stupid enough to have a 5 kids on a $8/hr job.....
Wow... is it just me or did I end up on a soapbox?
I hate it when that happens.
Sleep... Data...

People just need to watch Wall-e again. Jello people = what would happen if we start taking away what little exercise we get already.
Can't we just strap Tommy Lee Jones to it and fly it to the moon?
Fix it. http://www.llamma.com/xbox360/repair/ring_of_light_x-clamp_fix.htm This kit is supposed to correct the RROD.
So they finally get Internet access, and one of the first things they use it for is a tweet on Twitter? Talk about useless.
That's just what they're going to admit to. You really think they'd fess up to the first piratebay torrent from space?

Now all we need is Sigourney Weaver and we'll have all the protection we need when the aliens come back!
