S-Video on a standard definition set should suffice. However, now developers are making games on a HDTV's and don't realize that some things that are made super fine, such as text, can't be made out on a regular set. This can make games very hard to play.
I think the biggest push for HDTV is coming from the companies, not the people playing the games.

It was so blatantly obvious that this was going on, that I don't see how anyone who has seen the show recently could have thought otherwise.
It's not that "the usefulness of TV has decreased with the internet so expansive," it's just that people seem to have just recently realized it.
Make sure you have no dangling/dimpled/pregnant punch remnants.
