On a perhaps related note, since they couldn't use spectroscopy or whatever to determine the precise percentage of THC, I wonder what technique they used to come up with the qualitative measurement "relatively high".
Vista caches a drive's content to some amount (those dirs what have been visited recently). It displays the cache even if the disk is turned off. The green bar that pops up in the address bar indicates that Vista is starting the disk and refreshing the cache. XP didn't auto turn off SATA-disks by default, but Vista does. You can tune the disk turn off timeout in the advanced settings in the power management section.
>Second thing, an "export/save environment" (key settings, WAND database, toolbar settings, bookmarks, color scheme, etc) and the companion "import/load environment".
This is one feature I really would like to see. I need different settings&environment for my browser when i'm working on different things, or just surfing around on my free time. Currently I have many browsers installed to get the job done. And I mean the whole shebang. Layout, look&feel, network settings, **ADBLOCK** settings etc. And this is just on one OS and computer. The datafiles could then be synced for example with my laptop using third party software.
You should read the page a bit better. There is a text saying: "The idea for the million dollar script derived from the highly successful "Million Dollar Homepage", started by Alex Tew.
We thank Alex for the wonderful idea and hope that he makes a million! Please support his website and visit it here. (We are not affiliated with Alex)".
That script came up over a month later.
Stop trolling or buy you a pair of new eyes.

Are they trying to outlaw Germany? Wouldn't it be just easier to ban everything where they talk germany with automatic movie-filter. Like the Chinese do with the internet, only difference that they block democrazy, the words of god and other non-fancy stuff.
I suppose the German movie industry with "GGG, Uromania..." can have hard times with this new policy.
Finally somebody said it! That is *so* true. Ok, there are stupid ones too, but mostly they don't want to learn.
For instance, my parents. My mom uses computers a lot and she can learn stuff by herself! But oh god, she can't use the TV, a damn TV! Too much buttons on the controller, and we even have a video and satellite receiver, that is sooo complicated! But a PC with a 100+ button keyboard and fancy icons is no prob. She ain't stupid, she just doesn't want to learn how to use the TV. If i teach her, next time she will ask the same thing. She just don't want to remember.
My dad, he can't use the PC, but he can use the TV. He is just too afraid to click and experience new unknown things. But when you teach him, he gets it.
I haven't read the book, but i myself code asp at work and php for hobby.
The first web-scripting language i learned was asp, mainly becouse i'm a windoze idiot and i liked IIS. At my work we used asp & access in the beginning, then moved over to MS SQL server. Then i studied php and switched over to Apache+php (mysql) on my home-server. Nowadays i only code asp at work, everywhere else i use php. And my boss switched over to a linux server with apache + Chilisoft! ASP (now Sun) and mysql.
I didn't have any bigger problems learning php. One reason can be that i have no problems reading code, even if it's written in COBOL. The web-manual is the best tool, and it's the only resource that i have used. Start with some tutorials and small examples, just Google around!
In the name of Science! Umm... do you have paper?

I started here:

And to get some examples to study (and copy&paste in the beginning..) navigate to:

Learn PHP, you life will never be the same again
I really thank you for this link, very nice pics with high quality.
Are the 8x10 glossy photos in inches? So it would be around 20x25cm?
Hmm what would it cost to order some photos to Europe...
