Why is this rot?
Granted, the folks at Virusmyth http://www.virusmyth.net/aids/group.htm may be charter members of the tin-foil hat brigade or mad about losing money for a pet project or just upset that they're not on somebody's 'A' list. I'm not a biologist, or in a related field, but the articles look reasonable to me.

You are aware that midwinter festivities pre-date Christianity, aren't you? (Check out Saturnalia, Brumalia, etc. Just be sure to look for sites with real history, not New Age/Wiccan versions of it.)
...Democrats hate the presence of Nader, Badnarik, etc., not because they disagree with their views, but because their views tend to coincide more with the Democratic attitudes on things, and thus split the vote.
While I don't know about Greens, virtually every Libertarian that I've talked with over the last twenty or so years has tended to identify more with Republicans.
