While I have had selections that were 'long wait' movies, I can hardly describe the experience as 'everytime'.
Are (were) you trying to rent milti-disk TV shows? (which I'd imagine they have far fewer copies of than, say, the latest hit movie)
Early on in the history of internet phishing, I nearly fell victim to an 'eBay' email requesting I update my information.
I dutifully followed the embedded link and began filling in my info, when I got to 'driver's license number' I thought "what the hell do they need with that?"
Being too lazy to go get my wallet, I decided that I didn't care if eBay had my current information and closed the window.
A few days later I read my first story about phishing...
I'd choose Bill Gates. In game, he would have the same abilities (movement, accuracy, etc) as Conan, but would present a smaller profile and therefore be harder to hit.
that RFID could improve the transfer speed of my TiVo (currently, it takes over 90 minutes to tx a 30 minute show to my PC)
Certainly TiVo and the Hotel chains don't expect I'll want to pay to wait for hours before being able to view my custom content...maybe I'll be able to pre-tx the shows we'll want to watch: "No! we are not watching the latest episode, we have to save it for when we're in the hotel"
Stove off? check
Iron off? check
Doors Locked? check
Paperboy notified? check
TiVo Transferring? doh!
Not FTA: "What we mean by 'introduce' is that we'll be randomly sending them into people's basements to route out their infestations of useless parasites"
Get a grip.
Birds aren't dumb...for animals. But compared to us? One of the reasons for that is because a good bit of their brain is taken up by the instinctive knowledge of flight.
If this were true, nature would compensate by allowing bird brain's to grow large enough to, say, do their taxes.
But birds don't need to do taxes, and a larger brain is heavier and requires more bird to lift, more bird requires more brain to control, etc.
It's backing away, in preparation for fight or flight has yet to be determined.
