You can be truly happy without being fully happy. I am truly happy about many things in life. But I'm not fully happy, as there are aspects of my life (as with everyone else) that are not perfect.
...but does anybody really care which optical storage format a SEMICONDUCTOR company supports?
The average consumer would. The average consumer just has brand-name recognition and sees it with a new thing. To them, HD-DVD is a new technology, and Intel is a technology company. To them it doesn't matter that Intel has little to no actual interest in the product.
Unless, that is, it comes laced with DRM...
I know it's been mentioned, but do we need another IM client? All my friends are on AIM or IRC. I may not like the AIM client, but it works fine and does the job. And I've got my boxedIRC sitting there for when I go on IRC. Is it so terrible to have *gasp* TWO clients on your computer? Unified messaging will never happen for two main reasons: AIM and MSN. The two will never agree on a standard, so forget it. Google adopting Jabber makes no difference. You know, I could be wrong, but I just don't see the mass exodus from AIM to GoogleTalk that we saw to GMail.
Ok, you can mod me to -1: Flamebait now.
That article is quite good and points out a few resources that I (even though I'm a CSS/XHTML/standards geek) hadn't heard of. Keeping it bookmarked for future reference.
Hopefully some of these can be used to extend the area of sanity around proper markup...a bit.
Please note that it is also a candidate for deletion.
But I for one welcome our European and American DNS overlords.
Just abolish DNS.
Is it that hard to remember 3ffe:0501:0008:0000:0260:97ff:fe40:efab? Oh, you would rather type in www.google.com? Oh, poor baby.
Microsoft was just about to submit a patent on hypocrisy...

We all knew FoxNews was crap, I'll just stick with America's Finest.
Wait. One one hand, we're mad because the MPAA/RIAA won. On the other hand, we don't care, because eDonkey sucked... Uh...*explodes*
It took them two hours to install and patch Windows?
Will the game support Internet as well as LAN play? How extensive is the multiplayer going to be (if any)?

I suddenly feel quite young again. And to think, I saw the 10th Anniversary Edition of Toy Story the other day.
That's why you disable all internet usage outside the network. Plugs in at home, no avail.
No, it'll just cost you $83333333.33 per month.
Good thing my e-mails aren't read in my company...
Firefox still doesn't like them...

Well, I thought it was funny...
Oh goody, yet another link on their homepage I can click on.
That's because the W3Schools site isn't very helpful. What good is a site that teaches you a collection of markup with no implementation?
Someone didn't read the article well...

But we all know that it can be fixed...
True, but I was more interested in the article rather than the implementation.
