    Yes, it may help out the shareholders, which typically include senior exec's and board members. But it also rarely provides any direct benefit to the company.

    Why do you think a company wants you to invest in it?
    That's where their operating capital for expansion, acquisitions, research etc. all comes from.
    No investments => no company.

    Psychology is a very broad field. Some psychologists are actually biologists who study the neuroscience of memory, perception, learning etc.
    Others are more akin to philosophers who pontificate on things like the origins of social inequality.

    Nice, that you mentioned GÃdel. His greatest achievement was a contribution to formal systems, where, in short, a language/system cannot be consistent and complete at the same time. This applies to Watson, but that limitation does not apply to humans or animals.

    This has been baldly asserted numerous times by many people. However, no one had presented the tiniest shred of evidence to support this.
