    The fact is, Haught agreed to a public debate with Coyne, which necessarily means that anyone who shows up can hear and see it (that's what public means). If anyone present in the auditorium could hear and see it, then anyone not in auditorium (i.e. us) should be able to view it as well. Anything else is intellectual dishonesty.

    Rosette: Not enough. I think shopping summons up the ancient hunter-gatherer in me. I like having a mission to find something I need or want.     Can anybody explain how this is works in the U.S.?
    How is it that the plaintiffs have complete power to determine where the trial takes place, given that the patent infringement has nothing to do with Eastern Texas?
    I haven't heard of this kind of thing anywhere else in the world. What is wrong with the U.S. system that allows such abuse?

    I'm assuming the demand will be there regardless. But without legitimate businesses and markets in the mix, there will be no countervailing pressure for conservation.

    Huh? What does legitimate have to do with anything? The kind of conservation that you talk about results from long-term planning, something that is all but unknown in the business world today.

    People don't get grants and cushy salaries so that they can find the image of Jesus on thousands of toasts over a period of 40 years or teach people how to better spot Jesus on toasts and clouds.

    Are you sure? Looking over a selection of humanities courses, I would be surprised if that weren't one of them, somewhere.
