  1. Standby? on Worldwide Halo 2 Tourney In the Works · · Score: 1

Hopefully the contest will require everyone to d/l the new update. Otherwise you know there are kids who are going to try and pull the standby crapola. Even though Bungie would kick there ass, it would still be a major inconvience to those who play fairly.

While those are a major source of spyware and adware, it is hard to avoid problems when you are using public computers at a school. High School kids seem to find emoticon programs, search bars, and mouse pointer software amazing. It's to bad those like to bring along there freinds Alexia, Gator, and Bonzai Buddy.

  3. Spyware is hell on Spitzer Sues Intermix Media for Bundling Spyware · · Score: 5, Insightful

I do agree with this one. I find it completely unfair that I have to run Adaware Pro, Microsoft Antispyware, and Spybot just to get around the internet. We as the consumer should be treated with more respect. Buying a program with spyware in it is almost as bad as if one were to go to buy a sandwich and it had the cold virus in it. I am sure the government would have a problem with that. Why not take more initiative with this too?

If the new Ipod has the sound quality of a Ipod I might look into buying one. That is the main problem with small mp3 players today, yeah maybe it can hold 20 miliion hours of music, but it sounds like crap.

  8. Re:Do I trust Firefox more than I trust IE? on How Can I Trust Firefox? · · Score: 2, Insightful

I have used Mozilla products far longer than I have used IE. Every time I have ever used IE all I have ended up with is a gang of adware on my computer. I'm sure that IE could be more secure, but for me it's more of a matter of being with Mozilla products longer.

    Simply put, no.

  10. Hopefully on Microsoft Pays $536M to Novell · · Score: 2, Interesting

I would like to see Novell overpower Microsoft more often. From the looks of Novell's new linux product lineup, it appears they may be a major competitor against microsoft in the future.

Most of the time information becomes public anyway. There is no need for a LAW to do this.

I was fixing my tiny little E Machines Etower 500is, while sitting on the carpeted floor scooting around. When I turned on a giant spark flew out the back of the PS and it left the faint smell of smoke. I reset the breaker in the basement and turned the computer on. It's been a few months and it still works just fine.

I know, don't use windows. . . It is quite likely that you use Novell products. If that is true, you may as well switch to SuSE. Considering it's owned by Novell.
