Screw the haters; I love how the new redesign looks. I think the right one was picked.
Just one suggestion though (and I really hope the necessary people read this): in the upper left corner, can we line up where it says "login" and where it says "sections" so the left edges are flush? I think it would be a nice aesthetic improvement. In other words, the arrow icon should have square dimensions.
Again, great call. Can't wait to see the new design launch and I don't mind saying goodbye to the venerable-but-vintage look.
Great. Turn the allure of orbital travel into a 200km ride in a claustrophobic box with 17 people, sandwiched against some dude with balls-to-the-walls BO with a tinny rendition of "Girl from Ipanema" playing in the background. Where do I sign up?
My advice to you is to blast off into space NOW, before the glamour of it is all but a memory.
...with such a CPU, wouldn't it be more efficient to run just one OS that takes advantage of the partitioning for redundancy / uptime reliability / something along those lines?
It seems kinda pointless (and, I also imagine, quite slow) to run multiple OSes unless each one is aware of the other one(s).
I'm about 2 months in on owning my first Mac (thrilled by it, thanks) but the one thing I couldn't help notice is the absolute dearth of good mp3/audio players on OS X. iTunes is grating on my nerves!
Can anyone recommend an audio/mp3/media player (pref. one that takes advantage of Cocoa) that's a little more poweruser friendly?
IE6 botches gamma correction on PNG8 images. Try making a PNG8 file and a GIF filled with #B0B0B0 and place them on a web page with a background colour of #B0B0B0. In IE, The PNG displays as a slightly different shade of grey.

Perhaps we should refine meaningful and tactful relations with different cultures on our own planet before taking on the extraterrestrial ones?

Ken's Labyrinth!
Photoshop CS. The same PNGs display perfectly in Moz and Opera.
