But I LIKE it! What's wrong with GTK? It's not ugly..
I like having Gaim, running the Bluecurve theme (which I like muchly), on my win box, my win box that runs bblean. Adds a little flaovr to boring old windows.;)
Ever tried Terminus?:) It has newtonian physics, and your ship's mass is not only affected by the hull you chose, but also what you put in it. An empty cargo ship is actually pretty zippy, but fully loaded it's a pig.
IMO, the suite is, has always been, and by the looks of things, always will be, better than Fireweasel. The differences may be cosmetic, but for a long-time Mozilla user like me they are practically intolerable, and contrary to popular belief there aren't extensions to make Fireweasel behave like Mozilla. There are a few, but not enough for me. Let's not even get into how incomplete the options dialog is. The negligible speed difference between the two is not worth the annoyance.
As for tabs, Mozilla's been tabbed for a long, long time, perhaps even back to 1.0, but that's just a guess as I started using it at 1.2;) Remember Fireweasel is the spun-off, stripped down version of Mozilla.
What horrible companies have you/they been doing business with?
Other than the few I have forgotten (oopsie..fell for the trap) I have never, not ONCE had a problem with a rebate that I didn't screw up myself--in which case the company involved (Symantec, Maxtor, and OfficeMax) was good enough to send a postcard to me, asking me to please send in whatever I forgot to include.
The only trick to rebates is remembering to send them in and doing them properly, making sure to include everything they ask for.
I'm starting to feel alone in finding rebates (in particular, the free-after kind) valuable... Spare keyboards, mice, CD-Rs, and compressed air cans come in handy. Hell I picked up Linux in a Nutshell free after rebate.
Interesting. AMD will take back a CPU they know you broke, yet my local Fry's will look at it, and if they see it's been fried, they'll refuse to replace/refund it. I can't really say I fault them for that policy, either.
My dad and I have pulled the old switcharoo on Best Buy, and a couple other stores, most notably when one of a pair of Advent Prodigy speakers (very nice I might add) failed on him. They were out of warranty, so my dad bought a brand new pair, then returned the defective speakers to Best Buy with the new receipt for a refund. Other than that, and my endless pursuit of free-after-rebate items, I haven't been very "devilish."
You play as the SWG equivalent of the Jenquai Explorer from Earth and Beyond? Now you know our pain!
That a support class is viewed this way is inevitable in MMMOGs. You either spin it into your attempts at roleplay or you ignore it, or you quit in disgust.
People share those cards all the time, so the info would be constantly changing.
When I get a new one I usually have a fake name all thought up already. Last time I got a new one at Tom Thumb I gave a blatantly fake name and phone number (and nothing else).
What? GTK ugly?
;)
