#2: somebody get Judge Judith Eiler's email address. make sure she's on lots of "personal e-mail" lists. if these seems unfair to the judge, hey, she's the one who ruled this crap isn't spam, it's personal. So what are the chances that she has an email which she actually checks?

Yahoo Updates Konfabulator

I guess I am not seeing why you think Yahoo is aspiring to be OS X. I assume of course that you know Konfabulator was released before OS X dashboard. Having using both i prefer Konfabulator, thought that is of course a matter of preference.
What if you could have all of those satalite and cable channels w/o the bill? Not sure that is what the idea is, but you are right there has to be some incentive for the customer in order for it to work.
At first i was very excited about this, but as soon as i realized a few things my enthusiasm quickly died down (i was thinking more for watching on a computer than an ipod). First the resolution is only QVGA, a quarter of VGA, not even analog TV standard. Second I started doing the math and realized that if i watch a reasonable amount of TV i am better off with cable or something similar and a PVR or TV tuner card.
Hopefully though i would like to see this progress. It is still a big first step forward.
No you didn't read the article, they have heard of gaim:
Can you connect to the MSN Messenger network using Free operating systems? Sure you can. There is Gaim, there is Kopete. Are they attractive? No, they aren't. Their interfaces are terrible. Moreover, all you can do with them is write basic IMs. Bye bye overbloated and stupid nudge and Flash sequences. Just the text ma'am. Display picture? Well, it sort of works, but that's all. File transfers? I can swear that you're a lucky guy (girl) when it works. Usually it doesn't, resulting in embarrassing 'Sorry mate, I'm using Linux, you know and, well, could you mail me this picture instead?'.
I totally agree that it should be the company responsible for the bugs; they need to provide the environment that enables the programmer to produce better code.
The problem is how many large software companies have big a big lobbing presence in Washington. How many coders do you know that have the same presence?
I can't seem to even get through to download the torrent.
Or do they not matter in all this?

I believe this has more information about timmmoore's hack.

So MS is sending me spam now and can get away with and get positive credit for doing so?

Here is a link to the blog entry the article mentions that contains the code of the worm. (From Evan Martin of Google)
I think you would find the cvs annotate function interesting.

Nah, that requires too much effort. It is much easier to find someone whos name is tied to the code.
Yes we all know that as soon as a program makes it to linux it automatically becomes easier to use than any Windows program.
