The thing is, we don't really need to disprove the existence of something if there isn't any evidence to indicate that it exists in the first place.
An absence of evidence isn't evidence of absence. Revise your logic.

I've never been a fan of having large powerpoint slides replete with information being put in the middle of an explanation as an example or anything else.

The reason is simple: information overload. Most presenters make this mistake: the focus of the presentation is to listen to what the presenter is choosing to focus on as he progresses to explain the concept by moving from one logical point to another.

If you bombard the audience with a large amount of information in one go, they get distracted and spend more time reading the slide than actually listening to what the presenter is saying.

Comparitively, I feel a blackboard is superior, because it is inherently animated, and the presenter himself is animated, giving the audience a more vivid experience of how to produce or generate these concepts from, literally, a blank slate, and a proper understanding of the subject matter.

Yes, that's very true. I've always said that as a person, I like Bill Gates more than I do Steve Jobs. But it's not the nice-ness of the head of the company I'm really looking for. I'm looking for a reliable product, and even if the head is a bit of a prick (which Jobs certainly is), I don't mind paying him the Apple premium, even. Because it delivers a product I *like* and *enjoy*, as opposed to the annoyances of Windows.

The entire 20th century was secular. A secular century, but probably one of our most violent in recorded history. 2 world wars, a cold war where we nearly burnt ourselves to a cold crisp, a Gulf War (and a follow-up in the next century), Vietnam.... just to name a few. A few. All secular.

    Secu-freakin'-lar.

If it isn't for God, damn right it'll be for "national interests."

We'll kill each other no matter what. :)

Ehheh. Basically, the Mozilla browser should be good enough for their needs. And like another poster said, it's basically a problem with the webpage if a browser can't load it. Mozilla and Safari and Firefox use the same open-source HTML rendering engine, and any decent website out there should be compatible with it, since these browsers occupy a sizeable portion of the web browser market.

And as far as ruling out any other alternative just because they want MS Office is wrong, since Microsoft actively develops MS Office for the Macintosh platform, and OpenOffice.org is getting better at what they do (though they have a long way to go). A full-fledged, alternative MS Office implementation *does* exist on the Macintosh, which makes it the most compelling alternative, even more than Linux.
