    I RTFA, and was disappointed that it was more of a history lesson and "how the firewall works" with a small portion at the bottom which can be summed up to "encrypted proxy/vpn".

    I was expecting some novel ideas of how to bypass the firewall.

    It is still like this for me. I choose the mod from the drop down and then have to scroll to the bottom of the screen to click "Moderate".

    That's FUD. I've also hosted a mail server with domains using the WHOIS privacy feature for 10+ years and not had a single problem in sending or receiving mail.

    Open a lot of windows and tabs and see for yourself.

    You can change the settings of your taskbar to mimic that of Windows XP.

    That is 2 things (if you're the same AC) that are false negatives. It seems to me you didn't go looking very far before you dumped it.

    And the software that runs fine on WinXP and not Win7, has that been written to work with Win7? Or are you just hoping that 10 years later it still works on a new OS?

    Runs real smooth on an Intel Atom based system (Acer Revo R3600 & R3700). Can't get much more under powered than that.

    I think the trick is to use a graphics card that can offload the video playback.

    A linux box, iptables experience and a couple of WiFi cards/AP would be ideal, however there is an easier way..

    Your ADSL/Cable router plugged into your ISP offers unprotected WiFi.

    Buy another cable router and plug it into the above router offering protected WiFi behind its own NAT/Firewall.

    Internet <--> ROUTER <--> ROUTER <--> LAN
