As I said you have one of the most powerful presidents in the world. Do you not think you should pick someone who is able to make the world like him, and through extension the USA?
Or is it better to cut the nose to spite the face. Will you still have the same attitude when all the business leaves the US and goes elsewhere and the US is no longer a superpower because it thought it could be better as an isolationist.
For all I care, you could pick an inanimate carbon rod as a president as long as that rod could actually do the job right. Otherwise it looks bad on you picking a bad president (even if you didn't vote for them).
Thats the saddest thing about it. You have a president who is one of the most powerful of the free world, and the free world hates him. You can either examine the reasons why or say "Screw the rest of the world".
A good example why.. The US$ is in the toilet at the moment. I have invested in US companies, but because of the US$ it is no longer profitable to do so. I am in two minds of removing my investments to another market or not. Really depends on this election.
Nice long post. I can sum it up easy. While he is clearly a Kerry supporter, the polls are non-biased and based on existing polls.
If you followed the site for some time you would see that. There is even a movie on the site to show you how much the polls have been swinging back and forwards.
If anything his site shows how pointless polls are, or that the undeceided voter is completly clueless and changes their mind every 5 minutes.
The only poll that really matters is tomorrows.
On another note "600,000 Iraqis". Can you quote a source for that? The only figure I can find is for displaced and not killed under sanctions. Also you should note that Saddam was grossly inflating the deaths (especially children deaths) in order to try and stop sanctions.
If you were to set up the same vote for say England you would be luckly to find many people in the US to know who is actually running against Mr Blair.
I was able to vote in the farce called the American Election, I would probably vote Kerry (or Nader if it actually mattered).
The original comment was meant as humour.
I agree with you OBL shouldn't of been allowed to go free. So you have to ask yourself why Bush did a deal with Pakistani President so that they wouldn't have to arrest OBL if they found him. (reference).
The problem with that is people will start saying "Can't Bush even pay for his bandwidth? Kerry Can". Apart from that it's hosted on Akamai. If they can't take the bandwidth then there is something seriously wrong.
I use another site to get my proxy list and I am wary to post it to/. in the fear it would die. So here are some of the proxy servers it listed for the USA. Be nice and don't all pick the first one.:) (Sorry about the layout, trying to bypass/. formatting rules)
Its hosted on Akamai. They can take most DOS attacks, even the occasional/. effect. It is more likely some person setting the blocking without thinking.
If I was to don my tinfoil hat for a second I had a look at the "Agenda" page he mentions he is going to move troops around to avoid a draft (not the words exactly). I am sure if you had a cushy job in Germany you wouldn't be too happy to find your going to Iraq.
Now removing the hat, it is most likely that US military bases have an American IP address that the site lets in.
By being in Iraq, we are forcing the terrorists to attack us amongst their own people.
Wow what brillance. That worked in Northern Ireland a charm didn't it? Bare in mind that the majority of Iraq had nothing to do with the terrorists that hit the US.
Also if you were to check the figures of US/Iraqi deaths you will see they have been escalating after "Mission accomplished". Want to know why? Here is a good Report why. It's a long read and I recommend you double check the facts in it if you think it is lies. But the simple fact there are more people lining up to kill Americans in Iraq is because of Bushes actions after the war.
WANT the peace, stability and democracy which stands in line with the U.S.'s best interests.
Again the report says it all. You are right, they want peace and stability and probably democracy too. They currently have none of these.
I firmly believe that if you give a person (muslim or not) a decent way to make a living for him and his own, he'll be content and won't turn to things like the real root of our problem, extremist Islam.
You are absolutly correct. So tell me why isn't Bush doing this?
Much of Europe and the UN didn't want us to go to war in Iraq because: 1) Iraq was quite profitable due to the Oil-for-Food program for many of its leaders. 2) Our actions implied the UN was irrelevant.
It irks me when people bring up the oil-for-food program and say that the EU were profiting from it. Newsflash: The USA was the biggest customer of the oil-for-food program and actually increased their quotas prior to invading knowing full well they wouldn't have to pay for it. Somewhat comical Saddam supplying the US with oil to help them invade.
The UN wasn't irrelevant. The UN was put in place to stop wars, not green light them. The UN weapons inspectors were quite clear that they needed more time but to date found no WMD. The US inspectors now agree with them. They were enforcing the resolutions fine, and the US inspectors pointed out that Saddam was trying hard to stop them. Bush was clearly intent on war regardless if the UN agreed or not.

Saddam may or may not been a threat, but Bushes actions in Iraq appear to be creating more people liable to kill Americans then any other action previously.
Thanks for proving my point.

I was about to check the site when it died and I thought to myself "I bet someone has gone and posted this on /."... sure enough -_-
I was able to vote in the farce called the American Election, I would probably vote Kerry (or Nader if it actually mattered). The original comment was meant as humour.
Its the price. The machines are lovely, but for the price I can get just as powerful PC for cheaper.
The monitors now is another story.. *drool*
as they would of voted for Kerry anyway. :p
Exactly I think if the cost of living was on par then a lot of developers wouldn't be overly bothered by a pay cut or working for less.
Here is another 101 things to ponder.
I think it was wrong for the US to remove the Taliban and put in power people who have worse records then the taliban.
They weren't always called the Northern Alliance.
It was also wrong to support the Taliban when it suited the US. A bit like Saddam when you think about it.
didn't the polish get a nice juicy miltary contract recently? I also see that the mafia also support bush (Ref: thesmokingun.com ).

Also denied, but tried two US proxy servers in work and they worked fine. Google cache works fine too.
Why would they block the outside world? Wouldn't there be Republicans outside of America who can vote too?

OMG are you seriously suggesting Fox news as a reliable news source? It is like the American version of Pravda.
You can read more about how Fox is more "Entertainment" rather then "news" channel at Mediamatters.org.
BBC offers a much balanced review, even biting the hands that feed them. Something that Fox doesn't do.

Scary that I can still remember them.
Currently the demographic for Women/Men in online games is nearing 50/50. A lot higher then it used to be.
:)
